Reference Post # 25 - Global ordnance is a reputable Company and I have ordered "a few' cases of ammo magazines, etc., from them They have two entities - one is geared to legal military sales at home and abroad, and the other commercial here in the USA. Their Commercial warehouse/office is within easy driving distance on the West coast of Florida. They import the Stribog (either direct importers or direct marketers for the importers) and have a lot of after market items for it. Since the PandemoCrisis their inventory of some ammo has evaporated. They however are near a major sea port so boat loads of ammo etc can come to port for them if imported. While I generally like the company, and it responds well to orders, their prices vary on their perceived read on the market availability of ammo. Their Tula 7.62 at $210 a K prior to taxes and shipping is a bargain I think. Shipping to my door is by Fed-Ex. It is $15 from origin, then Florida Tax.

Classic could have it for a penny a round and I still wouldn't but it. Fuck SB.

Targetsports has tulammo, wolf, or red army (1000rds) for 249 shipped, not bad, not pre-clown world price, but available.

Which would you buy? Thinking I need to scoop up some for shits n giggles

Depending on how much you shoot, it may be too small. Or it may be fine, if you rarely ever shoot. I have a lot more than you but I donít have nearly enough because I go through about 1000 rounds/month. I didnít get into AKs until last year, so I didnít have enough time to build up a large stockpile. And you canít really reload it like normal ammo (well, you CAN but it isnít really cost effective).

I would think if it is your main and favorite caliber you should think about buying more. If it isn't then you should be fine. Home defense and training most shooters will go through that amount pretty fast and then you are stuck with little or no reserve.

1800 is fine. Make every shot count on the range, don't just dump ammo for fun. I know I'm guilty of that.

You prob have more ammo then the majority of gun owners out there. Just plan ahead. If you know that your going to be heading to the range buy some ammo to replace what you have shot.

Global Ordnance is running a "sale" on Tula 122gr FMJ right now for $210 plus shipping and tax. Came out to $238 shipped to NC. Best deal I've seen in awhile considering the current state of the union.

Seems like a decent price these days. Is it even worth paying the extra money for sealed and lacquered ammo from SGA or ammoempire ?

That is all up to the individual, for me that is all I have now. I have been working a lot of overtime this year so the extra cost does not sting as much.
Also I am sticking with the same brand to try an maintain consistency.
I wish I had the extra money in 2001-03 when I was getting Wolf in the black box with sealed primers for$180 per 2k rounds out the door on the last day of the gun show.
Did not work out that way, I hope I can look back again and think man I paid too much in 2020 for ammo. I also do not want to say in 2022, damn I wish I would have bought a lot more when I had extra money.
