Default FEG

Hello,

Just wanting to give people a heads up. Been here a while but mostly post on FAL files.

I am pleased to represent FEG Defense in Budapest Hungary as their US sales representative.

The factory is slowly getting back into production of AK rifles, SVD parts and services.

We are slowly in the ATF import process approval for 200 limited edition SA85ms in pistol format but can be easily converted back to rifle format.

We will have a limited amount of SVD's that have been in Hungary for 40 years or less pretty soon as they are approved.

We are not into a 100 percent full time building right now but just a limited process as we build up the factory and assembly lines for FEG Hungarian made AK parts and accessories.

After the SA85m and SVD, we have and will be importing AMD65 pistols.

Wood is brand new and that is back in production.

This was a slow process for me and it has taken years of planning but FEG will be coming back.

Hopefully, I'd like to get our own setup here on AK files.

No ETA on anything but its in the pipeline and in the works.

SA85m new productions will be less than 1000 USD and the SVD's will be a bit more.

SVD's are divided into two categories.

1st category is antique SVD made from the 1970's until 1996 or so. Will have wood and probably more FEG replaced and serviced parts.

2nd category is FEG reserviced or FEG produced receivers from 1998 to 2005 SVD's with polymer furniture.

Working with vendors and distributors now and we have an importer lined up at the moment.

3rd category for me is that I am bringing home an SVD and will have a US receiver maker clone it so people who can't afford an original SVD can at least get a good chance for one made in the USA hopefully.

All in the works, no promises or ETA but just giving a shout out that FEG is back and will stay here for a while.

We are small right now but we have all of the tooling, machinery, blueprints, and parts. Same FEG quality, same FEG attention to details.

Any questions and I will be happy to answer as fast I can.

I'm in the FEG office twice a week in Budapest and will be here for a while.

But my plan is to bring back some FEG made accessories and products to show case in the trade shows in the US.

Planning to do TRIGGERCon 2019 and hopefully SHOT SHOW 2020.

You have an estimated price point on them?

The price point for the SVD's is gonna be anywhere from 4500 to 6000.

The reason is because the Hungarian army needed new DMR's and we can't receive them from Russia anymore due to the sanctions.

Also, if you go to Kalashnikov Concern, a TIGR is almost 2200 to 2800 for a Russian citizen.

SVD's are a bit more if one wanted to get one in Russia.

In the end, the Hungarian army needs new rifles and they sold them to us for a steep price to get funding for newer DMR rifles and sniper rifle systems that NATO STANAG approved.

I don't know what they will get but I am seeing SIG, FN, HK, LMT, KAC, and many others being solicited but also CZ being CZ is making the new Hungarian army rifles and pistols.

In the end, yeah...this is what we are dealing with but that is why I am working on my 3rd option of a US made SVD and I am donating my SVD as a clone when I bring it and it is approved.

Also, don't forget that SCARs are nearly 3000 and the Zastava M91 is coming in at the 2000 to 2500 mark and Cugir PSLs are nearly 2000.

I'm sorry but if and when I can work on getting them and having it US made, it can go down a bit.

Listen get the amd 65 here , ak63d and sa85 and market them at a good price ( not century arms bs pricing like the 1500 dollar rpk) and you will make a fortune.

Hell make FEG recievers first so people can build the ak63d kits here now and that can get you funds to build up the future products =)

Maybe bring back the FEG Browning Hi-Power pistol clones your company did... the first generation only.

Nice. I’ll definitely buy an AMD65 if the price is reasonable

Should be less than 800 and will be double stacked with no wobbly magazine issues.

This is incredible good news. FEG to get the arms factories up and running again. Possible spare parts and barrels one day?
Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner.

I have Four Hungarian rifles - a FEG commercial 85M and military 85M off a parts kit with original barrel and a couple of others with original barrels. Man, this is really great news, at least to myself.

As posted on 'that other forum,' the AMD will have an ATF approved pistol rear trunion, so an SBR will required that replacement. At $750-$800, a TGI might be a better value. But new Hungarian made firearms are certainly a plus. If the fixed stock SA85 will be around $800-$900, I think it would sell very well.

It might be, but there's some debate about the TGI guns...and who built them and with what parts. I dunno, I'd rather have an original where I knew the scoop for sure, even if it did have to involve some AK Smith work.

Thank you for posting this over here . Y’all need to remember that in 2019 workers who build these don’t make $50 a month anymore . Excited to see FEG returning !

This is awesome! My first AK was a man configuration SA85M. I'll be all over a set of wood for it, and probably a second rifle if that works out!

Right now ....we have just 200 Sa85m Pistols we made as a dry run and also parts and wood furniture and also some polymer furniture for the AMD65.

I don't know how to post pictures here without my photobucket but I will try.

You will be a very attractive option at that price point, assuming it excludes the middleman which is the importer, even so, even at their markup product will move.

Hoping this materializes, thank you Rudolf for the information and sharing with us!

We have plenty of t3 wood.

boxes of them...pistol grips and the works.

The polymer pistol grips is what we have the updated AMD65 and AK63 project.

Very fat like and nicely done ergonomic setup.

Plenty of new AK63 style wood also.

Just sorting out the importer but if nothing.

I might just bring some home and sell it myself for a good price.

Price should stay at $1000 or less despite middleman and other factors.

That's the goal for the SA85m .

I posted over on the other website that I am in for a SVD! Also I think I may need to pick up a real SA85M. I have two original barrel kits built on US receivers and a TGI AMD65 SBR. The TGI could use a full Hungarian AKM brother!

Also I would love to get a full new Hungarian AKM stock set for my AK63F

Start with accessories ASAP you'd be surprised how well the sales would be and cement in the markets mind that your back, advertising and social media will help too.
