Default PIMP YOUR PAP!!!! (Yugo AK Pistols)

So with so many taking advantage of the recent amazing deals on these excellent little pistols I thought it would be cool to post up all the cool customizing many of us have been doing on these little monsters.

I refinished mine with my homebrew RIT/Minwax/TruOil recipe, added the Magpul MOE grip, Echo 93 sling plate, VTAC 2-point sling, and the Manticore Night Brake. The pix lost some resolution when I uploaded to Photobucket since the grain of the wood shows up nicely in the original. I took it to the range yesterday and between punching out with the VTAC sling and the Manticore Night brake there was very little felt recoil. I mean seriously, it hardly moved and I was able to get a "cheek weld" on the sling and keep it on target for run n gun. With a nice micro red dot this thing would be be amazing!

Just got my coned booster from cnc warrior. Finish is real nice and it fit the pap nicely with the exception that it is about a 10th of a turn from being put on to where it needs to be. It has no detent but even then it looks like some threads would show. Anyone else use this muzzle booster?

Nice pictures guys! The refinished handguards are looking great! Keep 'em coming and perhaps we can get this Sticky'd as an official picture thread!

Hey codsack, how is that rail mounted to your dust cover? Drilled and tapped? just curious. Im deciding on whether to go that route or put an ultimak gas tube mount on mine.

I am expecting my stamp in the next month, so this will be looking very different shortly. I did refinish the handgaurds with clear Watco Danish Oil and then a wipe-on satin polyurethane gel. They are very resistant to oil and grime, but not glossy. Also a CNC Warrior 4-piece brake.

Ace stock with an angled "shim" so I could fold to the right
without hitting the bolt carrier...

I love this thread, we need a sticky in the Krink section just for peoples pics

here is mine, took this pic last night after putting on the Dynacomp

http://imageshack.us/a/img266/1581/ci1z.jpg

Dynacomp close up: http://imageshack.us/a/img824/2072/yk3y.jpg

I do not like this blackhawk sling because It is too long even in its shortest position. I want to get a 2 point but it seems everyone wants $30-$40+ maybe i'll break down and get one though.

Nice setup! The Dynacomp is nice but Pricey!. I broke down and got a Vtac adjustable 2 point sling for mine and the ability to adjust it on the fly is great!

And they are back in stock.. That figures. I got mine from cncwarrior for about the same price. Its a nice booster, but lacks abbout a 10th of a turn from being on correctly.

I just picked it up today I can let you know at a later date when I can get to a range with it.But so far so good I took it out side when I brought it homa from the Funsmith and I was able to insert and seat the full mag and every time I pullet on the charging handle a round let and a new one went in the only thing that I can say about the adapter that I do not like is that the mags do not drop free.but they do come out pretty easy.
