Default Picked up a sweet new shotgun

Found a Browning bps "high capacity" in a pawn shop Saturday. Got it for $350. I'm already in love with it. Its the smoothest pump ive ever handled and i love the bottom eject. Its got a 20" barrel and 5 round mag tube. I ordered a nordic components 2 round extension and xs big dot sight.

Nice shotguns. Has the Mossberg-style safety if I recall correctly. Don't know why they didn't extend the magazine tube/move the barrel screw for more rounds, but it is a nice shotgun. Something about it. Simple, well-made elegance.

You can easily screw a mag extension tube on that, good score!

Yeah, for about $100 They should have made the 20" barrel with the extended mag tube and barrel screw forward like Mossberg. It is a beautiful shotgun though.

They did....its was a limited run, think they called it the bps "Tactical" and you could buy conversion kits.

I hunted Turkeys with a 9-1/2lb BPS STALKER 10 Ga. 3-1/2" Magnum28"BBL for years....
Winchester Super X Double XX 3-12"Magnum 2-1/4 oz #4shot 1,200fps....
shoot 15 + patterning with factory FULL choke & feels like you been in a wreck Muzzle would be @ 12o'clock after recoiling.....

bought a Cabela Turkey Xtra Full extended ported choke .695" constriction ..TIGHT !!!
puts 54 #4s in turkey head/neck target @ 45yds.....killed 22lb.TOMturkeys out to 64yds with it.....Ported choke took all the muzzle rise out ,comes straight back now

I could see a 20" 8-shot BPS Stalker 12 would be a Helluva shotgun .......if the 10ga had BBLs with mag ring out so you could have a 8 or 10 shot mag tube on gun........... WOW

That's a sweet shotgun, I often have problems buying another shotgun because I find a good deal and then I sit back and wonder how many 12 ga. shotguns does a person really need?

Hear that. At one time I had 8 or 9 twelve gauge pumps, two 20s and an old Stevens .410. Love restoring old shotguns. One day I think, wtf? What am going to do with 12 shotguns? Down to a Mossberg 500 I bought in 1985 and a Steve McQueen High Standard I found rusted and beat up for $119 on the used rack.
