Default Rail Damage

Looking to make an offer on a Sam7 pistol. The guy pulled the trigger once with the bolt out and damaged the left rail. Is this repairable / significant?

Can you draw an arrow pointing at or circle whatever it is we're supposed to be looking at?

Behind ejector? If so, I zoomed in and it just looks like slight deformation, no cracks. I have it somewhat on my Sams. I'm not and wouldn't be concerned.

I think its really clear. You need to drill out those welds on that rail - remove it - fill in the holes - buy yourself a replacement rail - reweld it onto the receiver - refinish the receiver, and then sit back with a beer and a smoke comfortable in the knowledge that you prevented a major cosmetic disaster from happening.

P.S. I've been called an a..hole by better people than you!

Yeah, if it was a stamped gun, OP has to do the right thing, cut it in half, itís never going to be right again.

That ding in the ejector? Itís fine, if the bolt cycles, G2G, if not buy a file and make it cycle.

Hardly a concern, I see it behind the ejector.

Google AK Ejector rails and look at alot of them, chips, scrapes, whatever they still chug just fine.

As a buyer however, it's a bargaining chip obviously. Use it to your benefit to haggle.

Jeeze looks like a small ding on the back side of the ejector. If it was me, I would use it as an excuse to negotiate a better price.

If it bothers you that much, pass on it and wait for a perfect example.

Or you could buy the gun and then obsess about it endlessly until you can no longer look at it and sell it to me a substantial loss.

It's just a blemish. Nothing to worry about.

Is it possible the ejector is bent? Could have had a hammer impact more than once... What does the ejector look like on the bottom?

Looks really bad OP. Beyond repair. I'll give you $100 bucks for it.

I bet you the factory or Arsenal USA did that. It won't hurt anything.

My guess would be that half of the SAM Arsenals out there have the same mark from people trigger pulling without the bolt in place. Its nothing to worry about, as far as functionality.
