Default .308 Drag ammo

Tomac advises 168gr Canned Heat from Georgia Arms and he shoots some pretty impressive groups with it...Not too expensive either...Tell us about your M118..

Default here ya go!

Ok this M118 LR is Military .308 SNiper ammo....

it has a 173 grain Boat Tail Hollowpoint, (Sierra Matchking is what I am told it is but for the military) it is marked (LC 01) LC= Lake City Match 01 is the year manufactured. It is basically the Military version of Federal Gold Metal Match (so Im told), the bullet is 173 grain rather than 175 gr.

here is a link to one of several places you can buy it. Tell me your thoughts

Wow! That stuff's pricey, nearly triple the cost of the 168gr Canned Heat I use! ($450/1,000rds = $9/box of 20). The only advantage I can see is that it should extend the maximum effective range a bit before the bullet goes transonic. Now, if they only made a Canned Heat 175gr match load...

I'd be interested in hearing how well it performs in the NDM-86.

If I do, how many rounds do you want me to order and how would you like them tested?

60rds ordered, I'll shoot at 100m, 500m, 750m & 900m and see how it stacks up against the Canned Heat.
