Default Differences between NHM90 and MAK90

Can one or more of the forum experts please explain the difference between these two Norinco imports? Which model is more desirable? What's average selling price for these rifles in new or excellent condition? Thanks in advance.

I have both. The NHM has a 21" barrel vs 16" for the MAK. The factory wooden foregrips are slightly different. Everything else is pretty much the same.

I paid $600 for my MAK a few years ago and $450 for the NHM last year although it was banged up and the owner just wanted to dump it. Expect to pay $600-700 for a NHM in good condition. Ditto for the MAK.

Are you sure on the barrel length? I checked the specifications on barrel length and it says 16.34 inches. I thought the NHM91 was the one with the longer barrel.

Uechi is correct. The MAK90 and NHM90 both have 16.25" barrels, while the NHM91 has a 21" barrel.

The only difference that I know of, between the Mak90 and the NMH90 (and also the Mak91 and NMH91) is the thumbhole stock. The Maks grip was short and fat, while the NMHs grip was long and thinner. I think one of the thumbhole stocks was made by Bishop (an American company).

I had a NHM 91 and it had a threaded barrel hidden under a welded on extension. I do not know if this hold true for the NHM 90.

NHM does in fact have the different foregrip like mentioned. Along with the diff thumbhole stock

And yes I see prices the same $600-$700 for either
