Default Plum or OD furniture?

I'm looking to replace the butthole stock on my MAK-90 with a synthetic PG set from KVAR. The problem is trying to decide between the OD and Plum finish. Maybe some of you guys who have either can post some pics for comparison?

I bought a plum set from K-Var and returned it for an OD green set. The reason is that it wasn't as "plum" colored as I expected. Actually it wasn't too far from black. The OD Green is very nice. I have a picture of it on this thread.

I was having the same problem deciding which color I wanted. I really wanted the plum set but I also wanted the OD Green too. I am converting a Saiga .308 right now and am dealing with Bob now on a RPK Russian plum stock set. If I can get it at a good price then I will use it.

i ordered a plum upper and lower hanguard and p/g from k-var. got the hand guards, the upper was a little lighter than the lower. didn't get the p/g, the invoice stated they were sold out of the sling with the same part #.

My wife has the plum set on her SAR2. It is more of a dark burgandy, not a grape (or purple) color. It is a looker, but really needs the black mags, the orange bakelight mags look odd with the plum.

Plum really sets the gun off. There are LOTS of OD, basic black, and camo furnished guns, but not many (ANY?) plum finishes where I'm at.

I bought a set of plum from KVAR to put on a 47-it has a wicked Soviet look about it that I like, and the black finish of the metal makes for a nice contrast.
{The green looks weird with the orange bakelite mags on a 74,too-IMHO}.

Can't go wrong with either color. Here is my OD FAL with the plum AK.

I agree, Plum is what I will probably end up with.

Thanks everyone!
