AK74 Tantal Proof Marks etc.
Sooooo I have two tantal kits and I would like some more info on em..
First one looks like it is from 1991 it has the number 11 circled and it has ZH followed by the serial #.  2nd is this one:  It only says CS and then the serial #.. thanks in advance |

Figured out the circle with the 11 means polish on the first one.
Still puzzled on the second one. Says D27 on the inside of the front trunnion |

Circle 11 is the proof mark of the Luznik Radom armory.
My Tantal is a 1992 Circle 11 with a ZH serial number as well. Not sure what the CS mark is.

My unbuilt Tantal is a 1990 Circle 11 and came with poly black furniture. From what I hear, the Poles issued the Tantal to their military in 1991.
Maybe more valuable or rare? OP, no clue about your unknown trunnion. Last edited by buuddha; 05-14-2011 at 11:22 PM. |
