Hey guys,
Two days ago I bought on ebay what I THOUGHT was a KV-04s scope mount, from k-var. I got it from a seller for 36 dollars. He says he has used it on a 5.45 saiga. The normal KV-4 looks like this: ![]() Now what I received looks like this: ![]() ![]() ![]() There are some noticeable differences right away. First: Mine does not have the KV-04s (Kvar Corporation) written on the plate. Also, it has a different rail on top (weaver rail?). So Id like to know what it is and if it is safe/ok to use on a 7.62x39 Arsenal SGL-21, or if I need to get a refund. Thanks! |

That is a bootleg. I have one. It does have weaver so if you are using an American Defense scope mount for example IT WILL NOT WORK. I tried. No go. If you wanted a KVAR one and it came no markings and not a picitany rail then return it. However, if you are just mounting "regular" scope mounts you are fine. It will work for that as I have done that as well...You should have gotten the BP-02. That mount is good but I prefer the BP-2 aesthetically and for sheer mounting strength versus that mount.

Ahh, see I prefer this one's aesthetics!
And I got it for cheaper than a BP-02. I got it slid onto the rifle...feels very nice and snug. You say you have one-so here is my question. Will it work fine with regular scope rings and a scope? Will it hold zero? |

It does hold Zero. I knew how to adjust mine but the way it was set it would give a tight snug but not tight enough for how I deal with my rifle.
It will hold zero, work with regular scope mounts, but not the milspec one piece ones I have on my AR.

Ok, thank you. I'm not too rough with my rifles and for 36 bucks shipped, even if it is a knockoff, I really can't beat it.
