Default WHAT AM I

I recently aquired a numbers matching M72 kit. That is the good part, the bad part is the last guy ruined the barrel and trunnion in a press related accident. He included a mint surplus barrel that passes bullet test and has 80% blueing remaining. But going thru the kit I ran across this part and do not know what it is for. Any one know

The kit is not an underfolder. It is a fixed stock RPK. But with that said there was an extra Underfolder Handguard in the box with it. So maybe you are right. I will do an image look up on Yugo underfolders.

RPK or Yugo M90 etc. cleaning rod retainer. Attaches between the muzzle device and RSB with cutout for the plunger pin. Kinda rare item though one can be fab'd.

Oh I see now, so to remove the cleaning rod you would have to remove the muzzle nut then this item to pull cleaning rod. Like I said this is a very complete kit except for the trunnion barrel accident from previous owner. I already ordered a trunnion from R guns. Even the stock numbers match the bolt and carrier.
