Somehow managed to lose the instructions before deciding to install the US Palm grip I bought. This is only a problem because I'm a complete idiot when it comes to anything like a washer. Can't find instructions online, so I'm hoping somebody here will let me know the order that the lock washer, lock ring (is that what it is?), and the grip should go onto the bolt, and the correct orientation of the lock ring.
Thanks! |

Depending on the type of AK you have, you want to keep your rifle right side up. Mine (Inter Ordnance AK47C) is of the type that the block that the grip screw threads into is not part of the receiver itself so I had to look around the floor for the block. Remove the grip screw and the grip. Then you want the pieces in the following order in regards to the first part being the closest to the top of the grip:
Flat washer, washer that is semi-coiled (forgive my lack of techical nomenclature), and grip screw. Guide these parts up your grip and then tighten the screw into the block. Voila! Your US PALM grip is now attached. |

Anybody know what the lock ring is for or why a lock washer, by itself, is insufficient? |

Probably because the lock washer would gouge into the wood/plastic instead of flatten out like it needs to. The flat washer also spreads the force out over the entire surface area instead of the smaller lock washer area.
