prophet, you got me all wrong this time. I BOUGHT a little ole orphan side-folder kit from this man. It was one of Bob Williams' beautiful brand new side-folder kits. I just hated to see an AK in a home where it was unwanted. I purchased it straight from the Marketplace on this site over a week ago, before the barrel debacle even hit the airways. PEACE!

You oughta know by now, I am crazy for AKs. Since the AWB sunset last year I have gotten a little nutso. That is how I chose my boardname:AK ecstasy, get it? My Webster's dictionary definition for ecstasy is: a state of being beyond reason and self-control. Well, when it comes to AKs, I think I'm there!

ya' know ak,you're ugly and your mom dresses you funny but dammit,there's something about you I like.I feel the same way about the ak's.I've got a wooden crate full of kits,receivers on order from 3 different places,furniture in various states of refinishing,epoxy coated receivers curing under a heat lamp etc.etc. I'm spending my daughters inheritance but damn I'm havin'fun!...prophet

Oh it was definitely in a home where it was wanted. Just a little short of cash at the time and I live in an apt. so it's not like I've a machine shop. Plus I didn't want to screw up a $300 kit on my first build. I'll try a $99 special for my first one.

Probably kick myself in the ass for selling it.

Don't sweat it asahilover, Bob still has side-folders for $299. Hell, I'll sell you back this one if it is still laying around when the time comes that you desire it. I've yet to build the the first one (side-folder) I bought from Bob over eight months ago. (I'll just sort of hold on to it for ya, okay?) Honestly, I think the $100 Romy is the smoking deal right now anyway. I have a half dozen or so of them (Romys) in various stages of assembly. PEACE!
