Well I guess a lot would depend on the material they are posting. I have heard of homeland security harassing blog owners and some forums before. Its not a new thing but these days its far more blatant and due to the commies in power they want not only to scrub but to control content.

Back in the day you could find a lot of resources for bomb making and such. Harder to find today.

They will continue to do this until we stop them but there are ways around them harassing you or shutting you down. Where you host your content has much to do with it.

From what I'm getting they received multiple warnings about sharing copyrighted materials as in Bit torrent downloads and such. Much like Pirate Bay.

So it's okay to shut down a whole town for what a few residents are doing?

That's what happened here.

A few of the blogs had posts that the feds didn't like.

A few out of 73,000.

Aside from the fact that this thread title is SENSATIONALIST!

It was not "Blogger" (which is owned by Google) that was shut down, but another blog host named "Blogerty"

From that article:

"Some consider the magnitude of the federal action as an indication that the Blogetery site itself and its owner may have been involved in some type of wrongdoing."

---------------------------

"Alex, I'll take 'Violation of 17 U.S.C. Section 506(a)' for $500, please".
