Default How to rivet yugo pistol grip nut?

Ok, I am stumped. I've searched high and low but there is very little mention of how you do this. I've got a AK builder riveting jig but I don't know how much that is going to help. Thanks!

You can rivet the Yugo pistol grip block as noted in this thread. Offset punch as noted by utga Schleigle and a backer plate or a concave punch set upright is a shop press as the backer for setting the rivets from inside the receiver.

I was going to use this plate for the YUGO RPK M72 kitts I have to do. They have the old pistol gripp mount and iwas going to make a different triigger guard bucking plate for this or OR use a small square bucking and spin it around for the different positions.

Some of the trigger guard bucking plate JIGGS for sale are adjustable for different modles.

more options
not my pictures

This one could have holes drilled into side and matched up to different models.

Sorry threads posted were wrong saved picts

Thare were two more BUTT rest of picts were deletted but the is one that was adjustable you should see -I will keep looking, because they were adustable both ways.

Thanks for the replies! I don't think my current TG jig will accomodate the rear rivets on the pistol grip nut. I guess I'll just have to make something to back them up and press from the inside. Hopefullly nothing slips because the last time I tried to "free hand" squishing a rivet without a jig the ram slipped and damaged my receiver. The middle rivet is going to be a pain, but I think I've got an idea.

A punch that has been concaved as a backer plate to set upright in the vice jaws creates a plartform to crush the rivets one at a time by laying the rivet head on the concave punch and forming the rivet by striking it with a flat face punch from insde the receiver,. Easy and only 1 tool needed. As noted above. No jig needed.
