Default Magazine catch removal on a Rom AK?

Sorry if this has already been asked i tried the search function but no luck, plus i'm in a hurry to enjoy this nice weather. But how do remove and install a magazine catch on the previously mentioned rifle? I need to weld some extra material onto it so it will actually feed without holding the mag, kinda pisses me off considering i paid over $600 for it.

I just watched that video, so the tension of the spring is the only thing holding the pin in place? therefore possibly making it a pain in the ass to drive out?

The pin is riveted at both ends. It's a special pin with recesses in both ends, to be riveted.

Make sure the bottom of the receiver isn't bowed down in the middle. Sometimes you can tap the bottom of the trigger guard near the mag catch lever upwards to raise things in the receiver a bit. This should hold the magazine higher. Idf you need to remove the mag catch I look for the side with the smaller diameter riveted in it and drive it out from that side. Sometimes there is enough of it left to re-rivet but sometimes the rivet has to be replaced. The spring is the biggest problem. I'd try driving the bottom of the receiver up a bit first. You may not want to beat on the bottom of the receiver with the weight resting on the top of the receiver. I like to put a piece of soft wood in a vise and have it support the bottom of the receiver through the upside down receiver, with the top rails touching nothing.
