The mags mentioned here are on their way to me as I type. Thanks to those who replied. A summary of the post follows
"These are used mags with varying degrees of worn finish, and may have some rust or pitting on the spring/follower. Followers/springs are available at ~$1 each from TAPCO and DSA, or you could clean them up yourself. I re-did a batch a while back(TAPCO rusty 20 rd), and with a little steel wool/fine sand paper, the followers cleaned up OK. The pitting is still present, but doesn't effect function. " "These are straight metric, not modified Bren. As I said in my opening post, the mags will have worn finish to varying degrees, and may have some rust/pitting issues with the springs/followers. All will be functional, none are likely to win a beauty contest. Refinish if you desire, leave it alone if you like the used look. Personally, I love it every time someone posts a pic of a South African kit they built up without refinishing. If you are looking for new 30 rd. metrics, these would not be your bag. I believe others have very nice 30 rd'ers available, but at a considerable increase in cost. " I'm working on borrowing a digi-cam to post pics, but it's not a sure thing.... A number of the mags have South African camo paint jobs. I will seperate out for those if you'd like, for as long as they last. Cost for the mags is $22 each + actual shipping, or 5/$100 + shipping. I don't do paypal due to their anti-gun positions. Money Orders, cashiers checks, or cash work just fine. I've only got one marketplace rating, but have sold a number of items without a hitch. A PM to any of the folks from my WTS: Aluminum mag or AK follower/floorplate thread should ease any fears, if that's a concern. Mags weigh nearly 1 lb each, and shipping is from 54467. Shipping costs can be estimated at UPS OR Post Office I like the USPS, 'cause they deliver on Saturdays, have decent hours, and give free boxes. Priority Mail for many will be comparable or better than UPS. Feel free to email with questions. Please respond to kfranz25@hotmail.com with your name, files user name, number of mags you'd like, and your zip code, and I'll get back to you. Thanks Ken |

LOL, I got all excited too. I got some of these mags and refinished them. They look brand new. I got mine from Roosters group buy on the FALFiles.
