Anyone tell me how the detent and spring are retained in the FS base? The spring stays in but I dont know how to retain the detent. I have searched all the photos I can find. I got the tax stamp to sbr the M92. Any help/photos would be helpful
Thanks |

If you are using a typical AK detent and FSB, the detent is held in by the front pin in the FSB. The detent has a "half moon" cut across it's diameter that saddles the pin and is thereby allowed to move back and forth and not come out.

Mine is in the shop for finish. I believe the bits are retained by a small roll pin. Can't remember for sure, but it all came apart for the blasting and bluing job. Can't say when the blue job will be ready... he usually waits till he has a batch, the does 'em all. I will see the guy later. I'll check

I got mine back Wednesday. The flash hider detent & spring is held in place with a roll pin. I will be re-assembling this li' bastid soon. It came out nice, and my riveting job ain't half bad to look at, now that it's wirewheeled and bead blasted. Nice deep even balck that is almost the exact same as the original factory job.

Thanks for the reply. I see a hole at the rear of the tube that the plunger rides in. It's only about an 1/8" from the rear end of the tube. I can't see how it will retain the plunger and spring.
