Default 7.62x39 norinco hunter for $450?

Hello all, i was at a gun show today and came across a norinco hunter. wood stocked, milled receiver, one 30 rounder and a 5 rounder (ak mags). the seller was asking $450. it had an import stamp under the barrel, interstate arms.dual aperture rear peep site. very clean, looked hardly shot, is this a good deal? thanks

I picked up mine for $280 couple of years ago and sold it for $350.

You have to decide if it's worth it...they don't fall from trees anymore...not too many around...you decide.

IMO $300.00 to $350.00 is the market value on these.

Picked this Norinco Hunter up the same day you saw yours. Gave $520.00 for it.

Default Where do you guy find these so called steals/deals at Pawn Shops

Any way you look at it $450 is a good price. I don't know if its considered a Dragonev Sniper or a MAK90. For a milled reciever good price because you probably didn't have to pay FFL paper work and shipping. I'll go back to check the pics again

I'd like to know where you guys find these so called deals at Pawn Shops, unless the owner is not too bright. Pawn shops now have catalouges and their prices are far from a deal, in most cases, I have never seen a rifle/gun deal at a pawn shop.

I came across a variant of this weapons on Classic Arms web site, it's a Yugo M72 RPK for $579.95. About the only difference I see is on your Norinco is the add on cheek rest. A milled receiver makes the Norinco the better of the 2 weapons. IMO!
I never have bought from Classic Arms, so I'm not spamming for them but their weapons seem to be fairly priced compared to other retailers.

I agree, pawn shops have some of the best price information around and can be disappointing when trying to find a good deal...however...sometimes you catch the owner in the right mood or simply DO get a good deal. I got this about a month ago at my local pawn shop for only $650. It's a barely used, rare Polytech sidefolder, worth about $1300-1500.

I think part of it is that I have purchased a bunch of guns from them, starting with an SKS for $300, then 2 .45's, then I got a good deal on a CAI-3 (HK91 clone with G3 parts) for $600. I also use them as my FFL and have brought in about 6 WASR's. Maybe part of getting a deal is establishing a relationship and letting them know what you are interested in. On the Polytech, my friend at the pawn shop called me and asked if I was interested.

I'd kill for the butt stock on the Norinco. Well, maybe not kill. Part with some cash.

I think people just want an AK in the pistol grip assault furniture. Been procrastinating between wood furniture or a composite furniture set in the Plum color. Mine is a MAK90 and it will take some fitting. I want to take my time so it comes out as close to perfect as I can get her.
