WTS - WTB - WTT - SPF - Marketplace Thread Titles

Please post your maketplace thread in accordance with the following AK Files "Marketplace" Thread Headers. I will edit your thread title if needed, but please follow the guidelines to keep the marketplace readable and flowing.

WTS: ....want to sell
WTB: ....want to buy
WTT: ....want to trade
WTN: ....want to notify
WTK: ....want to know
WTR: ....want to...RENT? ( what's this place coming too?).
SPF: .....Sold (Traded), pending funds.
SOLD: ...Sold (Traded), I got the loot (or the trade).
NLN: .....No longer need

How to post that YOU would like to BUY an item.

Make claim to an item by posting,.."I'll take it!"...followed by timely electronic communication with the seller is what we suggest to make a legitimate claim. The date and time of post is included as evidence of your claim, and should be respected by the seller.

Any conditions before, during, or after the posting of an "I'll take it!" , such as but not limited to "pending photos", or "if the dog does not bite the postman", or "if my wife will give me some money", will negate your claim to the item and render your claim invalid,....period.

BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: Most vendors and members post their items on many different firearm boards. While this is common and it is considered desireable for the seller to receive maximum exposure, it may cause difficulty and confusion when the item is sold elsewhere.

SELLERS PLEASE NOTE: Remember to update your Sale Thread to reflect any change in availability status. This will help to keep our members up to date on your items.

Marketplace Rules Posted from the Mothership(FALFILES)

http://www.falfiles.com/forums/show...threadid=254348

SYSTEM MESSAGE - TROLLING

NO TROLLING THE MARKETPLACE.

If somebody posts something in the Marketplace at a price higher than what I think its worth, can I post a comment to that thread, where I challenge the value of the item?

NO.
.
.
.
.

If somebody posts something in the Marketplace, and I know it can be purchased elsewhere for a lesser price, can I post a link to the cheaper item?

NO.
.
.
.
.

If somebody posts something in the Marketplace, and I don’t understand why the seller is asking the price he posted, can I reply with a question asking the seller why he thinks the item is worth the price he is asking?

NO.
.
.
.
.

If somebody posts something in the Marketplace, and I have the same sort of thing for sale, can I just jump in the thread and offer MY item for sale right there in that thread?

NO.
.
.
.
.

If somebody posts something in the Marketplace, and I know the seller has some sort of issue where I don’t think people should do business with that seller, can I just jump in there and start raising hell about whatever may be my issue?

NO.
.
.
.
.

Who made up these rules, and how long have they existed, and how was I supposed to know them?

The owner of the board, Jen, made the rules.
The rules have been around since forever. The most recent posting was on July 20, 2004.
The rules are “STICKIED” on the front-page of the Marketplace forum
at http://www.falfiles.com/forums/show...threadid=114815
.
.
.

Can I ask questions about the item such as:
What is the condition?
What brand is it?
Where did it come from?
What color is it?
What size is it?
What kind of material is that?
Are any parts missing?
Does it work?

YES.
.
.
.

Can I ask any of the above questions just for the sake of being a smart-ass, or for bumping a buddy’s post, or for testing the limits of what I can get by with in the Marketplace forum?

NO.
.
.
.

Can I start my OWN thread in an appropriate forum, and raise hell about ANY of these issues?

YES
.
.
.

Will I get banned for complaining about the rules?

NO - not unless you do it in the Marketplace forum - in which case you might.

OK, I didnt see anything on this subject of mine, I might have missed it but I will shoot it out there, perhaps one of you know.

Am I able to put something non AK up here for trade for a gun? Like lets say a car part or two that is universal that anyone could potentially use if they are into racing? Again, not to sell out right but instead to use as trade for a gun someone else wants to get rid of?

Thanks for your time.

The FALfiles link doesn't work. How about putting the rules over here. I just lost a kit due to not posting "I'll take it".

All Members / Non-Dealers:Post a Price. This is not an auction site so please post your asking price for the items you wish to sell.

No more than 3 new or BTT'd advertisements per day This applies to ALL members regardless of advertiser or contributor status and this is a combined total for all Marketplace sections. It is highly suggested that members combine their items for sale into a single thread rather than posting multiple threads for individual items. This rule applies to BTT'ing your ad with updates on what has sold. If an item has sold please edit your original post. Multiple BTT's in one day to 'bump' your add will not be allowed. Failure to follow this rule may result in one or all of your ads being removed.

No Trolling. If someone posts something and you think the price is too high, then don't buy it or make a counter offer. No flaming in the marketplace. If you have a problem or issue with someone you need to either post it in reviews (as a review) and/or leave the user feedback if dealing with a marketplace transaction (go to the users profile). Trolling will not be tolerated.

No Advertising in Signatures (Includes company name, logos, or contact information including manually adding company links, urls or information in posts).

No links to Commercial websites (includes linking products within marketplace to your commercial website and adding your commercial website link as your homepage in your profile).

No Company Logo's or Advertising in user Avatars or Custom User Titles (Regardless of contributor status).

No company names, urls, or similar 'branding' in usernames
