Default Commentary on Carter’s Slanderous Diatribe

The New York Times printed an editorial by Jimmy Carter calling for a new AWB. It amounted to nothing more than a slanderous attack on law-abiding gun owners.

My commentary here: http://fingolfen.blogspot.com/2009/0...r-new-awb.html

“I have used weapons since I was big enough to carry one, and now own two handguns, four shotguns and three rifles, two with scopes. I use them carefully, for hunting game from our family woods and fields, and occasionally for hunting with my family and friends in other places. We cherish the right to own a gun and some of my hunting companions like to collect rare weapons. One of them is a superb craftsman who makes muzzle-loading rifles, one of which I displayed for four years in my private White House office.

“But none of us wants to own an assault weapon, because we have no desire to kill policemen or go to a school or workplace to see how many victims we can accumulate before we are finally shot or take our own lives. That’s why the White House and Congress must not give up on trying to reinstate a ban on assault weapons, even if it may be politically difficult.”

I could comment that I don't own semi automatic firearms because I have a desire to kill policemen, childern, or fellow workers.

Or to rack up a score.

Aside from the fact that fire arm ownership is MY RIGHT ... AND I freakin' WANT too (!), I could comment that one of the reasons I own them is to make sure that nobody can take them away from me.

but they ain't listening.

Yep ... its coming.

It's when ... and how ... not IF.

Don't sweat it, Carter is just a dumb, ass FUDD. He is like that crazy old uncle at the family reunion who just babbles in the corner with his bottle of scotch. Does anyone really listen to the lamest President we have ever had, anymore? Just take a look at his former gaffes. Nothing to worry about.

Would anyone like to guess the biggest reason why Americans should own firearms, especially "assault weapons?"

How about you, government mod? What do you think?

When will people(the herd) understand that the 2nd Amendment was NOT put in place for "sporting puropses". Too many so-called "pro-gun" groups do not stress it enough.

David

ps, yeah, I remember Carter, in grade school we had a lil song we sang aobut him:

"My President has a first name
It's J I M M Y
My President has a second name
It's C A R T E R
Oh I dread to hear him everyday
And if you ask me why I'll sayyyyyyy
That Jimmy Carter has a way
Of F#cking Up the USA"

Don't forget, they also gave Al Gore a Nobel Peace Prize for some made up shit. I don't put much stock in the NPP these days. It is mostly a mutal admiration society for liberals and tools. BTW, I realize I misspelled "dumb ass". I now freely admit I am a dumbass.

There certainly appears to be a orchestrated effort between these far leftists in the MSM and their friends in the wing of the Democrat party witch is immune to voter back-lash over further violations of our second amendment rights.

There MO is to repeat their propaganda to fulfill their perceived "moral obligation" to enact their far left agenda over and over and over again in a instigating fashion until they get the out come they want.

From all the Sunday political talk shows and how this subject keeps re-appearing this is obviously what they are up to.

I could do a similar rework to include bans on books, especially bibles, and it would be equally disgusting. I hate people that don't care about the consitution. He's an embarassment.

Yeah, they are working on it.I've always noticed the most anti-American Pols are always the ones leading gun control, but I never hear anyone of them talking about gang control(over 1 million gang members in the U.S. responsible for 80% of all crime in our country ) ,go figure.
