UN: 1 million in Sudan won't get food aid from May

UNITED NATIONS – More than one million people in Darfur will not get their food rations starting in May if Sudan and the United Nations can't fill gaps left by the expulsion of more than a dozen foreign aid groups, a joint U.N.-Sudanese assessment team said Tuesday.

Even if other relief organizations in the region help, those are "Band-Aid solutions, not long-term solutions," John Holmes, the U.N.'s top humanitarian official, said.

Sudan expelled 13 foreign aid organizations and closed three local ones this month after the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands issued an arrest warrant for President Omar al-Bashir for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the western region of Darfur.

I've got the perfect solution- for every African that starves in the Sudan from the lack of UN food programs, we'll ship over a replacement. All these "african-americans" who just love to bitch about how much they hate the US for having brought their ancestors' asses over here 140 years ago, can be paid their reparations in soon to be worthless US Dollars, and put BACK on cargo ships and sent back to their motherland. Let the Sudanese government welcome them with open arms- and most likely, with open mass graves after they are relieved of their possessions- when they hit the shore by their "brothers".

On a "global disaster" type program on Discovery, etc. oen of those channels, they said that incase of natural disaster if the USa were not able to ship current food shipments overseas, that an estimated 500,000,000 Africans would starve within 1 year.
So, that tells me that the United States of America, in addition to providing food for 300,000,000 here,,and selling food to many other countries is donating/selling food to feed half a billion? And those half billion depend on OUR production?
Call me whatever name you want but Websters tells me those half billion or atleast most of them are parasites.

If we can afford to feed half a billion people, there shouldn't be any hunger in this country then should there. We have become the wellfare department to the world, while some of our own people go hungry.
