This has been mentioned in passing by a few people. I think it is something all of us should jump on.
We have talked about a March, and all of its difficulties and logistics problems and the need for individual sacrifices to make it happen. And it sure appears the idea of a March isn't gaining a lot of traction. But here is a way to send a strong message that might be a bit easier for a lot of us: On January 20, Inauguration Day, the day the Magic Negro is getting sworn is as President of the United States, BUY A GUN. Go to ANY dealer, and buy ANY gun, so the National Instant Background Check system will be totally flooded with calls. I sure don't have any problem with doing my duty to uphold the Constitution by increasing my firearms ownership. (Although there's a certain irony in using the unConstitutional NICS to further Constitutional goals.)

Well, my gun spending lately hasn't been exactly prudent, but I still think there should be something I can afford for National Buy A Gun Day, January 20th 2009.
Maybe one of the New England break open single shot rifles in a .17 cal. I think there are several for retail less than $200. Or how 'bout a low-priced 12 ga. pump, for home defense? Or a cheapie .22 revolver? Lots of toys I don't own yet, bet all of us can say that. And waddaya mean, no ammo? Cases coming to my house almost weekly. Not as cheap as early 2008, but still cheaper than it may be in 2010. Or not. I may end up using bullets for croutons on my salad greens in the near future, just to get rid of them. Personally, I think sending bullets would just push more of the non-EBR-owning public over to the gun-banners' side. It's these threatening ominous type messages that keep us looking like dangerous insurgents of some kind, instead of Constitution-supporting patriots. Just my opinion, and we all know what that's worth.

Doc, I suspect when you make a "joke" like that, you aren't really joking.
It's one thing to talk like a badass here among friends, but entirely another to make the rude and aggressive statements out where the public can hear them. Assume you know that, but still, think of the example you are setting here.

I used to write letters to government, trying to "enlighten" them to the truth. Fact is, they could care less & they will try to impose their agenda regardless. The only letter that will do any good now is one that draws a trench in the sand, no more polite requests. If enough people do this, the ball is in their court to decide whether their agenda is worth spilling blood. Surprisingly, a GOA rep answered my e-mail & sent it to his supervisor. Either that`s a good thing, or my dog will be sleeping at the front door. The only thing is, are their enough gun owners who have had enough b.s. that are willing to take this step. If GOA takes the reigns(which I doubt), I will sign, proudly. Whatever further restrictions they try to impose against the 2nd will be regarded as a direct attack against not only the Constitution but to my personal/loved ones safety & freedom, w/out which I don`t want to live anyway. Fk`em. P.S. - I`m all for a "buy a gun day", anything to make them nervous.

I have been bitten by a bug.I find myself staring at my computer screen on various auction sites and firearm dealers just flipping page by page. Then they jump off the page and I click the buy it now button or add to cart. The bug that bit me is a 1911 bug.It is a mean little bug, once it gets it teeth in you it don't let go,much like the AK bug just smaller.I am buying now because I will not be in the country on the 20th.I will be in Thailand, wonder if they will sell me an AK
. The wife is taking here computer but it would not flood the NICS system to purchase from overseas. So I am doing my best between now and the 16th when I leave to flood the system tdPS pics of the 1911 bug coming soon

80 million gun owners in a country of 300 million and of the 80 million only about 8-12 percent of us are hi-cap owners and there is apparently only about 9 of us that give a shit.
Good luck with the bullet in the mail thing. Scott

Mitch I gotcha, I am planning on buying a nice little used 20 gauge auto for 200 bucks if they still have it on the 20th. If not, I'm sure I can find something else I can tell myself I can afford
My spending has been ANYTHING but prudent this last year, but I tell myself I am doing my part to help the economy, the local one at that.

Hell that's easy Ex , motor.....you screw the bullet puller attachment to the end of the ram rod and run it down the barrel and jam it into the ball and haul away. Works every time....havent blown a finger off yet....

If I buy a gun they dont call in. I just show my CCW, fill out the paper and take it home. There probably wouldnt be a huge flood from some states as a ton of people have CCW's. Good idea though. I do need a new .40

Why not just mail them all a copy of the first ten amendments of our Constitution?
Probably be the first time any of them have seen it. Of course I'm assuming that some of them can read.
