My wife sent me this:
THE EXECUTIVE SUMMARY I know that some of you don't like to read long drawn out missives...so here's the executive summary......... John McCain Congress 26 Years Military 22 Years Barrack Obama Congress 143 days Military 0 Just think how great a professional of any kind you could be with only 143 days of experience!!! People want change so badly? . . . . maybe we should lower the experience requirement for doctors, lawyers, airline pilots, etc. This would cause some change! Obama's 143 Days of Senate Experience Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama have in terms of actual work days? Not much. From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United States Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory Committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working. The one single Senate committee that he headed never even met once. After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan. Think about it.......143 days -- 20.4 weeks -- 4.7 months ... Our children spend more time in pre-school getting ready for kindergarten. |

For those that do not see John Mcain as a war hero try spending years in captivity as a war prisoner. Then when they find out your dad was a high ranking military officer and they offer you an early release you can turn them down and tell them that prisoners are to be released in order of capture and then set in prison for 2 more years.Besides that any one who serves for our country during war is a hero in my opinion.I wouldn't even compare the 2,Mcain has spent more time siting on the toilet than osbama has been a senator.

The problem is that Obama preaches hope and that is hard to counter. I have yet to hear a believable plan as to how he is going to deliver on anything he is talking about but the young people who don't know the difference between promises and delivery are eating it up.
I'm glad Obama didn't pick Hillary because now I think McCain stands a good chance of beating him. |

I'm glad he did'nt pick Hillary either ,I think he stands a good chance of winning now. This has been a stressful year ,I'll be glad when it's all over with.(If McCain wins that is) And I totally agree with TD ,a POW is a war Hero.

I agree. If John Mcain was only a POW , then what the hell is a war hero? This only leaves Audie Murphy and Sergeant York as contenders. Mcain is a HERO. Now, there are those that feel that soldiers that were captured were not heroes, but were nothing more than deserters that left the field of fire just to save their own hides. Russians and Japanese come to mind. Repatriated captured Russians were sent to Siberia as deserters, and Japanese were listed as dead to spare their families the shame of capture. It's all how you look at it, I guess. Only the civilized White Europeans could allow a surrender with dignity. |

Heck yes he's a hero. He's got military, national security and foreign relations experience in spades. Obama just has words and a scary amount of inexperience. I can't begin to guess what he would have done when Russia went into Ostettia. Climb under his desk maybe - make a real dumb decision worst case.

I would argue that when a flier's combat aircraft is shot down in battle, that is a far cry from "surrendering." That is basically the same as an infantryman's legs being cut out from under him by a full-auto burst.
And McCain's war wasn't over, sitting in a nice comfy prison. The North Vietnamese went to great lengths to brutalize their captives. To suffer that and continue to resist is what makes those guys heroes, in my book.

Dumb"O" has been getting it on w/ "whitey" cuz he's avoided the "white guilt" Jackassie Jackasson has never been able to let go of. Enterprising on white guilt has been Jackassons ace in the hole... Well Dumb"O" has found his ace... Ruse the white public by ignoring "it" and absolving them of it by IGNORING it...
It's working... Now it's MUCH easier being liberal because you can afford too. Sounds great and less filling(of one's conscience w/ the guilt of whiteness). It's a snow job extraordinaire, no pun intended. And another thing that miffs me, Dumb"O" is only 50% black and 50% white so how does that qualify him as black any more so than white.... See, already making lies out of the truth..... Simple math eludes these mental midgets... panzertruppe |

Experience? Pfffft. What the hell difference does experience mean in a president noawadays, anyway?
Zero. The president has less to do with running this country than I do. The office is nothing more than a titular position. The real power in this country has been handed over to special interest groups and lobbysists. The president is nothing more than a mouthpiece. The last real president this country had was Harry Truman.
