Hello everyone, new guy to the forum here...
I am ready to SBR my Arsenal 107UR. I understand from reading many posts on many boards that this rifle is factory ready for an SBR treatment, and that there is a gas port reducing bushing inside the front sight base/gas block, which must be removed when cutting down the barrel. My question is, what is involved in removing the front sight base? I see two pins on the bottom, but I'm an AK novice, so please tell me if there are any tricks or techniques to removing the FSB to get to the magic bushing. Thanks! |

I have not handled one, nor taken one apart.
I would suspect, if the bushing is pressed on between the barrel and gas block, drive those 2 pins off, press off the front sight, and remove. Be sure to have your Form 1 in hand before you do any modifications. -myers |
