American AK 47's ?

I overheard somebody
at my gun club say that
somebody started manufacturing
AK 47's here in America.
Any truth to that?

Most of what I know of American AK's are the one assembled in the US from US and other countries parts...there is this list of us made AK's http://www.ak-47.us/USmade.php My AKM was assembled in the US by Lancaster ARMS in Goodyear AZ. They use US made recievers, G2 Trigger, Furniture, and brake the rest is Polish, Romanian, Hungarian etc depending on what model you pick.
