AIPAC and the Jewish Lobby

I'm a little confused here. Is Daily Kos a Jewish blog? It seems like when someone (other than a Jew) says something about Jews or Israel or AIPAC they get pretty well trashed by the Jewish Lobby here on Kos and Troll Rated. In reading the diary "The AIPAC tendency at DK." this morning, it looks to me like this phenomenon is working at full steam. Is this right Marcos? Do you want this happening on your excellent blog? Should the "Jewish Lobby" here on DK have the right to silence critics simply by Troll Rating them?

It looks like one strategy is to swamp the "offending" diary with hundreds of junk comments so no one else will bother to read through the few intelligent comments, hence blocking the original question or statement to intelligent discourse. Granted the original diary ("The AIPAC tendency at DK.") equated AIPAC to the Jewish Lobby and that is NOT true but it is a common misconception. I resent that AIPAC uses its powerful influence to shape US policy toward Israel in a way that doesn't seem to be in America's (U.S.) best interests. And it seems to me that there is a conspiracy, here on Dkos anyway, to shout down anyone who questions the power of the right wing Zionist/christian lobby here in the U.S. They use the excuse that it is anti-semitic and they are worked up (conveniently) about this and upset. So is the rule that anything that upsets a Jew must be inflamatory and anti-semitic by definition? Could it be that a person who cry's "anti-semitism" is like the boy who cried "Wolf"?

Bush luv: To stop discussion of israel 1) call names 2) call more names 3) more names and more cheap action like mentioned above 4) See above.

What we need here is a separate section just for BL so he can post all day long about jews doing this or jews doing that.

In fact festus has already inadvertantly suggested a name 'Jews in the news' that would be a good title for the new section.

Just keep this sort of poop in the Jews and Current Affairs section....oops that was a typographical error, I meant News and Abhorant Affairs.

i think it will not be so bad. It is time to back off, and I tried. People know my view and that is all I wanted. We will be back to politics as long as its productive...which means none of the really neat topics filled w/ land mines. I think the majority are gonna get what they want. Temporary silence from a long talked issue. The sides are drawn and new info is almost non-existant. time to talk about...something else. I love guns. Lets talk, lol.

But its more than that.

I think a couple of the builders (fudds) got slapped around a little too hard over News and Current Events. They couldn't win on the rules... so they bitched to the nubes and Jen and are gonna get the rules changed.

We will be back to politics as long as its productive...which means none of the really neat topics filled w/ land mines. I think the majority are gonna get what they want.
