That's not what I was wanting to see.

Hopefully DDI can address this issue quickly.

Well that is very discouraging. I guess with our life time warranty we will as our policy is send you a UPS call tag, get it back, fix it and then return it to you at no cost to you.

That whole process takes generally about a week to accomplish. Is that OK with you Rob?

DDI, would you be willing to share your findings with the community once you have finished investigating this issue? Transparency is something most manufacturers avoid, but would be really appreciated. Tha ks!

Hammer forged extractor?

Main reason I held off purchasing one. Wanted to see how well it did in the AKOU stress test. Only 527 rounds - sad, very sad.

Hey AKOU how about an inspection video of the rest of the parts?

As always Rob Ski, great review to the DDI rifle that many here in the Akfiles community has high hopes. I have not jumped in the wagon yet. IMO, it's just too early to get one of these all American made AK's. I'm sure the problem will be fixed.

Until then, I'll give it a little more time before I purchase one.

Did you try fixing it with the retard strength? haha

What a great combo, Rob and DDI working to make great American AK's.

Rob, you need a new tag line. Something like "You build it, I break it."

It will be interesting to see if this is an isolated incident or a pattern. Either way, I have faith DDI will make it right.

Looking forward to the rest of your testing Rob, keep up the great work man!

I plan to beat to death all other parts - i want to see what those parts can (or can't) do in the long run.
So yes, i will keep plowing through it, because we don't have any data on it (all is brand new). Everything will be documented and posted online.

Hopefully any quality trade offs on the DDI rifles to make them affordable in this market won't pop up with more problems, the rifles seem very well made otherwise.

More proof of the value of this kind of testing. I have no doubt the extractor issue will be quickly remedied.

Thankfully unlike our other domestic offerings DDI has dignity and motivation. I expect this will be resolved quickly.

Rob, the part you keep calling the ejector or ejector claw is the Extractor. The ejector is part of the left rail inside the receiver. The word you want is Extractor.

Bummer, maybe it's just one bad extractor. If not then DDI better redesign that extractor

Rob Ski and DDI, "Make American (AKs) Great Again!" Sorry, had to do it So far though I'm glad I purchased my PSAK47 instead of waiting for the DDI. No offense to DDI but that would have been super embarrassing if that were to happen to me at he range next to all the AR guys!

I understand what happened and I am glad to see you already taking care of it.

As to Rob replacing the extractor claw... He could do that, but the point of this is to test your rifle and the new hammer forged parts you are producing. If he substituted your extractor claw with a surplus part, then it wouldn't be a complete test of your products.

Don't get me wrong, I am on your side and want to see you succeed.

All guns will malfunction and all guns will break at some point, the key is to make the one that can last the longest and make one that when it does break it is easy to fix. I keep several bolts for my AR's on hand, something not really done with the AK as the bolts would need to be properly head spaced by a trained gun smith, but what if you had a spare bolt for your AK and when installed it would pass a go/ no go test?

Sometimes a broken extractor is just a broken extractor. It happens. No one likes it though.

Dave, what's the latest on the folding stock versions and the AKM? Forgive me if it's been asked in another thread - last I heard, they were planned to ship around ~1 week after these fixed stockers.

Guns can break as evidenced here, thats why i keep plenty of spare parts on hand for all my firearms. DDI looks as if it will make it right, lets not hang them before the trial.

In Soviet Russia you don't break extractor, extractor breaks you
