Been looking at them for a while, just wondering if anyone has any experience with them. www.naaminis.com

Just the little 1 1/8" derringer-style .22 magmun mini revolver. I'd recommend one of the magnums, as you have the option to shoot standard .22 or the magnums, though mine will never see standard .22 rounds. Recoil actually feels like a standard 9mm. Fun...!!! The only thing I hate is trying to get the hammer to rest in the grooves on the back of the cylinder, which is kind of a saftey. Takes practice.
I got an ankle holster and inside the pant holster. Basically good when the standard size concealment gun is too combersome to wear with certain clothes. http://www.naaminis.com/magnum.html

I had one years ago and you'll be wasting your time and money with one.

There is/was a version called the black widow I think, had a large rubber grip that folded over the pistol sorta like a pocket knife. That is the only practical version to shoot as the grip is so small just holding onto it when firing is difficult. These are mainly bought as a deep cover last ditch backup weapon.
The lack of a triggerguard can be a problem. Massad Ayoob had a Combat Handguns case study where he told of a cop who had his wife sew a holster inside the top of his uniform pants. At some point the natural movements of wearing and changing the pants cocked the revolver and it went off one day as he got dressed. A .22 in the Femoral Artery can ruin your day. |

The holster grip is neat, it fits all their revolvers. I am looking at the 22 mag or long rifle with the grip as an extra. I have heard mixed reviews, though mostly good. I guess I would like to try one.

I have a friend with the beltbuckle one.
They are rediculous. But a gee-gaw nonetheless. |

Ive got the magnum. THey are loud as hell. They are very concealable, but not super accurate. You cant reliably hit a man sized shilouette past 15 yards or so. You cant reliably hit a pie plate past 5 to 7 yards. You can hit a snake with them if you are about 2 to 3 yards away.
Id recomend them, but get the 22 mag with the 22lr cylinder combo. |

I never heard that, I hope you are wrong.
I was gonna use that as a carry gun with clothes that don't allow my glock to be concealed.

Its single action, (you probably knew that) and it has a saftey notch between the cylinders so the hammer does not rest on a live round. I dont see where an open trigger would make any difference.

Get a Beretta 21 / .22 auto. You'll like it better.
It holds more ammo. They also make threaded bbl's for it, too.

I have one in .22 Mag that was given to me. I like the fact that with the folding grip which has a belt clip, I can pocket carry with a pair of shorts. I will be replacing it as a Summer carry piece with a Kel-Tec in .380 asap. Just bought the wife a Kel-Tec in 9mm and she loves it. Finally got my HiPower back.

They also make it with a belt holster that you can carry it in the belt buckle. Not very concealed though. I have a .22LR and I would not recommend it for someone with big hands (if you can hold a Desert Eagle, you have big hands) because its so hard to grab it. Its like its not even there so it doesn't point at the same spot every time. I would go with the Beretta instead. I'm planning on getting one as well because you can stick a suppressor on them and I have not heard so many negative comments as the Walther P22 which I also liked how it felt.

Whats the price range on the beretta .22? Has anyone used the raven 25 auto? Jennings J-22? I have seen the last two for as low as $40 each.

Use BP as Pyrodex is corrosive as Hell and 4FG works well but 3FG works fine too. The factory Rosewood grips are beautiful but get an oversized aluminum or whatever set. I love my NAA Mini ![]() www.NAAminis.com |

The Beretta are nice but stay away from the potmetal Ravens and Jennings. The firing pins on the Ravens are very fragile, we used to stock a bunch of Raven FPs as dry firing them a few times will snap the nose off. The .25 round is expensive and underpowered as well. A guy in Indy tried to kill himself with a .25, he put the gun to his head and fired. Ow, that hurt. He did it again and again, finally he gave up and called an ambulance. The bullets bounced off his skull, leaving a bloody mess of his skin but otherwise he was unharmed.
The Jennings are not well balanced for the round they shoot. The recoil spring is so strong the gun fails to eject with anything but Stingers, however if you weaken the spring it then fails to feed. The safety is a bad design as well, not safe to carry chambered at all. |

Just say no to .25 and a Jennings is only good for the 1st shot. Jennings makes a good throw down.

I've got one of the 1 5/8" barreled .22 LR/.22 Mag combo guns. Mine shoots fine, but even with the 22 mag cylinder in it I don't put much stock in it as a defensive piece. Good for a range toy or a conversation piece though.
BTW, the 22 mag version has a larger gripframe than the 22 LR version.
