Default Yugo AK Barrel ?

I just traded for an early Yugo underfolder. It has the DCI 1.5mm receiver. Is there anyway to tell if it has a Yugo or US made barrel?

A genuine Yugo barrel will have little number stampings on it.
It will have an enormous gas port that will extend into the barrel.
The bore, will probably not be shiny, since original yugo bbls are not chromed.

I wouldn't worry either way. If it makes you feel any better, my m70ab2 with an American barrel has caught fire a few times and is more accurate than it was before. If you read the barrel hardness tests recently, the Green Mountain barrels did pretty damn fantastic, surprisingly. A lot of the original Zastava barrels were bad and I'd probably take a GM barrel over a corroded chf 20 year old barrel. I didn't believe it, but those GM barrels are good to go unless you are going to do a shit ton of full auto maybe. You can always go to AK builder and get a chrome lined/nitride Yugo barrel or Centerfire systems and get several 30 dollar authentic yet used and galled M70 barrels and swap.

Put some apex wood and a big ass muzzlebrake on it. A lot of accessories get it weighing about 12 pounds. To me, it kind of defeats the purpose of an underfolder.

Yes, original Yugo barrel will have journal marks, just remove hand guard and look for it.

Yeah it's kind of wierd, I assumed it was a Century rifle but it has no markings other than NDS-4,caliber & DC industries

Century did contract the m70ab2's out to people like supposedly wise lite arms. You may have gotten an early one. Years ago there were a shit ton of parts kits for cheap in m70ab2. It's obvious who bought them all up.

The DCI built yugo underfolders had green mountain barrels as far as I know . I used to own one but sold it in the panic for big money . Dan Coonan Industries built very nice guns !

I see a number 3, but what are those other marks? Are they numbers or just blemishes? I looked at mine and it had just the number 2 and nothing else.

As Virgil Cole stated DCI used Green Mountain barrels so won't have the journal sizing numbers listed. The Green Mountain barrels seem to be a fairly accurate barrel. If I was going to us a U.S. made barrel, it would be my choice.
