Hey guys I was doing some testing on my M-70 the other day in reference to a cheek rest and I discovered a great idea that works! The foam rubber copper pipe tube insulator covers! They work great! Use the 1/2 inch.

Not a bad idea. I once seen a pic of an M-70 with the left arm wrapped in green parachute cord. It looked really good and if a person knew what they were doing I bet that they could braid the cord in someway that would put the majority of the braid on the outside for use as a cheek rest. Just a thaught.

The paracord is the shit. Much better than foam which will just tear off.

I don't think it would ever tear off accidently. I took it off to see and I used scissors to cut it off. The adhesive holding the tubing together is as strong as the tubing itself.

I use black 1/4 inch ID vinyl tubing from Lowes.Looks like it belongs there. Got the idea from Butler Creek. They put clear on the sidefolders they make.
