Default How to paint inlayed lettering?

First post here. I'd like to thank everyone for some great information, I have built two Yugo's and could not have done it without you all. One thing I could not find information on was painting the white inlayed lettering. I would like to restore the lettering on the grenade site to original, but have no idea how this is done. Anyone have a clue? Both guns were beadblasted, parkerized, and coated with Moly-Resin.

I use white appliance touch up paint. You just use a very small pointed model painting brush or a toothpick to lay the paint in. There are also "lacquer sticks" available in various colors. Looks like a big crayon, you rub it over the marks then wipe of the excess. If the surface of your paint is very rough wiping the excess off might be a problem.

I have always used the red/white crayon stuff that is designed for this particular use (just about every gun supply has it). Rub in/wipe off, lasts forever, looks pro. Chuck

You can also use Testor's model paint, then use a rag w/thinner to wipe off the excess. As mentioned, if the finish is rough like parkerizing it could leave a haze on the part, so a few extra wipes to get rid of the excess might be needed.

Do you happen to have a link to a supplier Chuck? I've checked everywhere for lacquer paint sticks and can't find them.
