Anyone wanna guess how much itll be?

my guess is $149 for the "evil collapsable stock" and $199 for the rail system...

I can only imagine how horribly front heavy that handguard will make a rifle.

Yea I talked to the guys at ATI recently and they said expect pre-orders "Very soon" as in January and they expect to start shipping mid-February I believe.

I hope it wont make the VEPR as front heavy as you think... If you read the small print in the image it says:
Six Sided 18" front end
-Military Type III Anodized 6061 T6 Aluminum
-Weighs only 17 ounces

Although you have to add on the weight for the front "nose cone" and the optic rail system. Regardless hopefully they offer it as separate items so if you like the rear collapsable stock you can just order that piece.

The stock looks like a pile of crap, but that forend is quite enticing. They should have shortened it a bit to allow it to fit 16" VEPRs.

the whole system looks interesting... nothing in terms of quality like bonesteelarms but interesting... add on a saiga forearm for cheap with a cheap ati stock and it looks almost 'tacticool' enough...

the rail i too long... never would consider it myself...

here's a pic of regular ati ak folding stock...

I agree, had the whole mess ended at or about the end of the gas block I'd have been MUCH more inclined to think it was a useable option and not an ubercool piece of shit for Tactical Timmy the Mall Ninja and his band of Zombie Hunters from Uptown.......as is.... well.....

it just screams ..... FAIL

depends on how the whole thing anchors down, It might be useable with a bit of hacksaw work and covering the cuts with the front plug section.... assumeing it actually anchors in the standard Vepr front handguard fashion....

ETA : ya know.... even more fail than I first thought, there are no rails along the sides for mounting those 2 piece low profile bipods.... I see one rail at the 12 and 1 at the 6...... nothing at the 3 or 9 and no way to add them given the side cutouts ........did they even talk to anyone who shoots these rifles to get design ideas? this is starting to look like a total waste of materials......sadly.... cause they could have ended up with a solid product with .......ok with fairly extensive modifications to the base design....

^i absolutely agree with ya on the rail thing... the scope rail looks like it was made only for traditional sight vepr and not the is sight vepr, the rail too long for 16"... their design department must be blind...

Adding over 1 pound to the front of a rifle would unbalance any platform, especially an already somewhat front heavy rifle like the VEPR. That's not even taking into account the things one would attach to it(optic, flashlight, bipod, etc), since there wouldn't be a point to buying it unless you planned to add some accessories to it.

The Collapsible buttstock has some promise, but that handguard/rail is horrendous...

You guys are missing the point.

This is another company jumping on the Vepr bandwagon! It may be ugly as sin, but its better than nothing.

The "hand guard" won't work on short barrels (>20"). I agree, it would be a lot better if it ended at the gas block.

http://www.molot-usa.com/product_inf...7f9f469f1df764

so the pricing for the grip and the stock is roughly $100 - something to consider...

you can order one today... post pics someone...

Why isn't anyone making an adapter for the slant cut receiver with a new or re-manned surplus wood stock already installed on it?

Quick question about the VEPR receiver. Why do they do the angle cut on the back of it?

Just in case you guys are interested.... I went ahead and did a little photo editing to see what the back stock and pistol grip would look like on a 7.62x39 VEPR vers 01 with the stock front wood piece. Here is the three lined up:

nice work on the photos...

the description and look of the product look to be high quality for sure... looks very decent too... my only gripe is why they didn't offer a folding mechanism for the stock?... otherwise a full metal stock is ok in my book and with comfortable grip to go with it...

HOLY SHIT!!! Why the hell is that forend so damn long?? Honestly what is the purpose for it being that long? I can't think of anything....

I have one of their folding/Collapsable stocks on my Saiga. I really like it. It's probably not Sandbox strong, but then again I'm not PLANNING on taking it to war anytime soon.

I'd go with the stock and find something else for the forend.

you know, after revisiting this ati stock thing... this is a bad buy... i got the talo m4 style stock kit for my 10/22 and that's pretty cheap... the only think good about this strikeforce is the aluminum buffer tube, everything else is cheap... pass...
