So if we are talking detent + spring + pin... what would be your price?
I can imagine that stuff like that can be mailed in first class envelope for 60-some cents (it would not be "flat" / machine processed anymore) If the price is right I could use qty (2) spare sets

Well, It's definitely $20 + shipping. I don't make any money on shipping and don't have time to custom ship. Also, recently I'v had a number of pieces lost by USPS. So, the last thing I want to do is send anything without tracking and insurance.

I mentioned in the other Yugo thread that I was interested. I am currently ready to buy two Bulgy sets as soon as available.
Based on my understanding there is a difference in the Russian and Bulgarian sets that I have not seen mentioned. I am sure that at least the retaining pin is different between the Russian and Bulgarian types. This is from Tantal's site, and the Bulgarian one is on the left:

Ok..ok... Do any of you have calipers? I need the diameter of the cross pin hole. I've made several sets but want to make sure I don't send anything out that doesn't fit.

The hole is about 0.108" - 0.109"
I can just get a 7/64" drill bit in it. It's snug. Last edited by Derekthecoonass; 10-16-2012 at 09:45 PM. Reason: trying to be percise |

Is that the actual intended diameter or just a pilot hole to be drilled through for a long 3mm pin? How would you remove the cross pin if it doesn't go all the way through?

And you're right about that being the pilot hole. You have to drill all the way through the barrel to pin in place.Anyways, I made my cross-pin 3mm. One can probably use the Bulgy fsb pin diameter of 2.45mm as the lower pin and the cross-pin. |

I think it is supposed to be a blind pin, when seated sits below flush with the top of the hole and then is staked to the left and right to keep it in place.

I went back and looked at Tantal's site. It says "the pin must either be installed blind or used as a barrel pin". The Russian design is a through pin, looks like Bulgy could go either way; through pin or blind pin. I don't care, I'm ready to buy. Through pin is fine. Blind pin is fine.
http://www.avtomats-in-action.com/parts7.html Anyone have any reference material beyond Tantal's site or is the knowledge based on what they have seen done before? |

My vote is for a through pin. I don't like the idea of needing specialized tools to get the pin out for any reason.

I think iklindo should probably make it as a through pin and if someone wanted to do the blind pin method they would just shorten the pin. No big deal.

The diameter is still important. It should be at least the same diameter or greater than the other pin for the fsb/gb.

Alright, cool. Just a heads up, I'm going to start making these within the next two weeks. I've been slammed with the M92 pins and the cross pin on the Bulgy has proven to be a little difficult.

I order two test rods, slightly smaller in diameter .108 and .106.. One of them should work!

So, I got the detent pin and cross pin combination working for the Bulgarian. I've sent the first finished set out to one of the members. Once I have confirmation that everything is good I'll start producing these and will send you all information on ordering.
Thanks!
