Default **SPF** WTS/WTT SAR-3 5.56x45mm AK Excellent condition - POWDER COATED -

SOLD PENDING FUNDS TO HERBY Offering a used excellent condition Romanian SAR-3 5.56x45mm AK rifle built by ROMARM in Romania in 2000. The rifle has been power coated by AK-USA. Rifle is 5.56x45mm marked. This gun has been "safe queen" only about 300-400 rounds have been fired through this rifle; all of it was high quality brass case Black Hills and American Eagle ammo. It has the beautiful Romanian laminate original wood furniture also in excellent condition. This SAR-3 is a high quality imported rifle built completely in Romania on a real double stack receiver, chrome-lined barrel, and threaded front sight base with an AK-74 muzzle brake.

PHOTOS BELOW
- Powder coated by AK-USA
- The rifle is threaded and has an AK -74 muzzle brake from the factory.
- Original Chrome barrel and chamber, and bolt and bolt carrier.
- Original Laminate wood
- Original Bakelite pistol grip.
- Excellent trigger (details below)
- All matching serial numbers on parts
- Rare original Romanian green nylon sling.
- RPK style horizontally adjustable rear sight with highly visible orange range and windage markings.
- Original Chrome barrel and chamber, and bolt and bolt carrier.

This rifle has had trigger polishing and smoothing performed on it by a gunsmith and has an excellent trigger. Pull is light and breaks crisply with no creep at approximately 3 pounds. No trigger slap. The Muzzle brake with this cartridge very effective, making this the lightest kicking .223/5.56x45mm I have ever shot. I have 8 30-round magazines: 6 Bulgarian circle 10's and 2 Bakelites. The rifle will be sold with 1 magazine of buyers choice. The rest of the mags are available for $20 each when purchased with the rifle. The rifle is accurate, handles well and is fun to shoot. It has only had high quality brass case ammo run through it. Very few small cosmetic imperfections in finish mainly on muzzle brake, not noticeable unless under close inspection. No cleaning kit. I can take more photos of specific areas of the gun if requested.

Terms:

I would be interested in the standard model, a model with camo, or an MOE model, a threaded barrel would also be a big plus.
I am not interested in the compliant model, fixed stock model, pink camo model, or performance center heavy barrel model. Thanks

Was the rifle modded for the mags or the mags for the rifle? I've never had one run without sar3 or weiger mags.

No modifications to either one, this is a 5.56x45mm AK and they are 5.56x45mm AK mags and are completely compatible.

No, its a standard 22mm Romanian FSB. Plunger is not visible in photo, I can upload one tomorrow with plunger visible. Notice the "4/2" marking on the FSB that is common to 22mm brakes.

I've had 3 sar3 rifles and in my dealings I've never had luck with anything other than sar3 and weiger mags . I've got 2 arsenal 106 aks that want nothing to do with anything but bulgy mags, i wonder if ive just had bad luck. I tired every mag I cold get my hands on and the Romanian rifles just didn't want to function on anything but the 2 . Come to think about it I also had a norinco in 556 that wouldn't feed anything but the factory mags for it. 556 is the only caliber in aks I've had this issue with. All my 7.62x39,5.45x39, will function and feed no matter the country or origin of mags. Strange

Would you consider selling a bakalite mag separate from the rifle?
