UNITED NATIONS - Delegates from around the world gather in New York on Monday for the start of month-long UN-hosted negotiations to hammer out the first-ever binding treaty to regulate the global weapons market, valued at more than $60 billion a year.


Brian Wood, Amnesty International’s arms control chief, said diplomats face an “enormous task” as they try to wrap up the accord by the end of July, and said the final text could be watered down in the interest of consensus.

If all goes well, he said the treaty could come into force in late 2013, after some three dozen countries ratify the document.

It looks like we have about 1 more year or so to stack up on everything imported because after the import ban hits all we will have available to us is U.S. made guns and ammo at substantially higher prices than they are now after the last minute panic buying before the import ban hits jacks the prices of everything imported up to the moon where it will stay.

I really feel sorry for the people that will be trying to get into the gun hobby after this, if they want a "real" AK that came from overseas (even as a parts kit) they will have to pay through the ass for it big time, not to mention not having any milsurp ammo either, just U.S. made commercial bullshit at ridiculous prices. Start buying milsurp and save it for the collapse, no more using it up at the range. Say goodbye to our hobby real soon, thanks a lot you miserable devilcrats...
