Default mount for M76.

I have a Nikon scope that I want to mount on my M76. Which of these would you guys use?

This: http://kalinkaoptics.com/mounts/svd-...aver-rail.html

Or this; http://kalinkaoptics.com/mounts/svd-...aver-rail.html

I'm afraid the standard mount will be too high and not allow a good cheek weld but I'm not sure the lower mount will clear the dust cover.

Any thoughts?

Disregard my question. I simply swapped out the factory scope for the Nikon and used my existing mount.

From the metric numbers in the M76 armorer's manual, it does look like the original mount takes a standard one inch diameter scope. Note that commercial scopes do not usually have as much adjustment as AK-type scopes so the rail and mount on the rifle may have to be well aligned with the barrel. The factory M76 rifles are better than most AK's though and the rail and scope mounts were better fitted than most other AK-based rifles.

Plenty of good 30mm 1-4's out there right now. If only they had 30mm ZRAK rings....
