Default Recoil Pad for scope

is there anything that yall have used to reduce recoil in a scope? not talking about a cap sleeve for the eye, but rather a rubber or polly piece that would go either between the scope and weaver mount OR around the inside of the scope rings?

just trying to keep my optic from losing zero so much.

thanks

Sounds like you've got either a bad optic or mount. No, nothing like that exists, you want the optic as tight to the rifle/mount as possible.

Edit: Are you using the railed topcover on the Zastava? If so thats why. That mount is known for not holding zero.

no, not on the Zastava. i figured as much. im just getting a 3-12x32 scope soon thats preeeeeety pricey and i just dont want the shock of an AK to rattle stuff around. i thought about putting a little rubber on it just to absorb some of the kick, but i may be absolutely crazy

If you have a scope that can't handle the shock of an AK, it's pretty much garbage. While I can understand your thinking most rifle scopes are made with this in mind, but don't be surprised when your $40 Wal-mart special won't hold zero.
