Default Master Molder AK Mags?

"Choice of the Canadian Military!" it says in the CDNN catalog. Anyone have experience with this product?

Well, CDNN is bullshitting you (to be expected from salemen)

Several years ago, Master Molder (then known as Thermold) licensed their AR15 mag design to Canada.

As far as AK mags go, I've not ever seen one complaint about them. I own several and can't think of anything "bad" about them.

This is only applicable to the Canadian-issue thermolds.

After Thermold licensed the technology to the Canadians, they thought they knew better than the inventor, and changed the polymer formulation. This lead to their magazines "melting" when used in hot guns.

No US-made Thermold has ever melted under regular use, to my knowledge.

The bad press is likely why Master Molder swapped names, but I'll stick with circle 10s and PMags.

They're good, some people bitch because it doesn't have an anti tilt spring in it, but that's no big deal.

I had problems with the 47 round AK magazine though, it was too thick to fit into the mag well and had to be sanded down, but after that it worked like a charm.

Stay far the fuck away from AK47 p-mags, I had five of those things and not ONE would feed reliably.

Please.

When I worked for the army we were issued Thermold/Master Molder mags for the AK's and no-one had any complaints with them. I have 10 for my AR also with no complaints.

I think you've got your "P"s mixed up.

PMag = Magpul PMag - These are top-end magazines for the AR15

You've spelled out P-R-O-M-A-G which are on the opposite end of the spectrum (if they're even part of the spectrum)

And that has to do what with the topic at hand?

From what I understand they have their 3rd owner since the Canadian melting mags. I have been told that these are the first owners that truly care and want to change the reputation they have!

Magpul makes great PMags for the G36.

Nothing beyond the fact that my knowledge of AR15 style weapons and their loading devices is limited, which stemmed from someone mentioning Pmags, which I then confused with Promags and was corrected by Nalioth.

I always assumed the same thing too. I sold off the one Pro Mag that came with one of my AKM rifles because it felt so cheap. I never used it. It's obvious they tried to rip off the cosmetics of the Bulgarian "circle 10" polymer magazines.
