Looks like they have a slant brake mounted in front of the bayonet mount to guide the cleaning rod. Interesting.

It's not mounted.

Probably just there for safe keeping (you know, when you want to lose 4" of barrel length, but still protect your muzzle threads)

The "Flash Hider" is a 3.375" long, Standard AK 14x1 Left hand thread that were made for the following rifles:

Polish AKML, AKMN, AKMSL, AKMSN, RPKL, and RPKN.

Check Out:
"robertrtg.com" as they list them for $94.95.
"apexgunparts.com" had "american made" with 14x1 Left hand thread for $45.00 a couple of months ago (I don't know if they do now).

Also similar/same as the Hungarian NGM & NGV model muzzle devices.

Brick sells them in our Marketplace, too. I bought one, and it was very fine.

Yeah, that would drive me nuts though having that thing move forward and backward as I fondle the rifle around. Can't hurt it though!

The one NDS sells is a copy of the Tabuk flash hider. Gun things has the U.S. copy for $40.
