Looking for mags for my new NHM91, and I stumbled on some Yugoslavian BHO mags, they're $18 normal are $12. A BHO would be cool on an AK, would make it easy to keep track of rounds. Anyone use these, do they function well or are they an annoying novelty.

IMHO, they are good mags and are much thicker than standard euro mags. If you get one that's not been abused and neglected, the finish is beautiful. I have a few and all have a very nice shiny parkerizing (or blueing, im not sure) on them.
As far as the bolt hold open feature, it's more of a novelty for me. I have used it once or twice and it's nice to see that bolt hold open after the last round, BUT, it's useless because your bolt returns to battery as soon as your remove the mag. For the NHM-91, it's DEMANDING for 40 rounders and drums. |

Harv,The bho works good. But, remember the bolt carrier will fly forward when you take the mag out.
Yes,it stops the bolt after the last shot. What's going to hold the carrier when you exit the mag? I don't use these people cause their shipping charges suck, but they are the cheapest for new mags. blackthorneproducts.com I think $18.00 for new ones. |

I bought 3 of these when I got my M92 kit. I have not used them, but they look brand spanking new. I paid $18 a pop.
http://akpartskits.com/cart/index.ph...ort=20a&page=5 Now check this out: http://www.rguns.net/gunparts/magazines-rifle.shtml Scroll until you see the yugo mags in the middle. Now, Why the hell is what appears to be the exact same product selling for $18 on one website selling for $75 on another? Am I missing something? Riddle me that! |
