I bought this new a couple years back and never shot it, its still brand new. Its an I.O. Industries STP-2000 pistol. When I found it only 1 place had it and it was only available for a short time and then they were gone before I could buy a second one. I've never seen one come up on GB for sale so I'm not sure what to ask for it if I decide to sell it.

Seems everyone has something bad to say about I.O.. I would rate it around the 400-500 buck range. You could get 400 as a kit.

With the draco pistols out around the $450 range I wouldn't think you would get much more than that.
IMHO I think the dracos look better, but again thats just opinion... |

Dracos are in the 500 + range now and going even higher (one sold yesterday on GB for 600).

Hello there, can you school me on the HG retainer for this ? I was goin to buy one I.O but not sure how it works, theres a key also? Hmm? (HG retainer)
*As for the gun, I had no Idea i.o ever put the 2000 out in pistol, so I would guess it has to run more than their stp-2000 rifles. Shoot them an email over at i.o and see what they say. |

Draco's are much more desirable than these, but you still wouldnt have a problem selling it for the 450 (easy sale) to 500 (people would walk around it and debate it).

These IO STG (and apparently these, too) builds are hacked together out of random parts kits (the Draco is a factory AK). There's a reason that you don't see many of these. Nobody bought them when they were available because those that did buy them could see how screwed they were. Have you shot it? Does it run? You may have a wall hanger there, and not know it (odds are good with IO). My advice is to put it on GunJoker and see what the market decides (might want to list it with a "no returns" conditional so it doesn't boomerang) |

By the way, it has an underfolder rear trunnion in it like a draco-c does but two of the rear trunnion rivets were drilled right on the edges of the holes in the trunnion that the stock hardware passes through and they will have to be removed and relocated to a different part of the receiver (the stock will cover up where the old rivets holes were on the receiver thankfully) and then the scope rail will have to be removed too if someone wanted to sbr it and put an underfolder stock on it. It could be done though and it would probably look pretty cool with an underfolder on it.

I'd give $40 for the handguards and pistol grip. Just bought a rifle kit minus furniture and need those parts. An East German wire folder would be the correct stock if it was to be sbr'd.

It's a Romanian parts gun based loosely on the E.G. Wieger STG943 special purpose carbine. Different front sight and similar h/g's. SBR it!

I.O. expected its jobbers to produce a lot of these on a daily basis.
"Quantity over quality" is not the way to run a railroad, and this really showed in these guns. Put it on GunJoker and let some uninformed mall ninja buy it. |

Why is it that everyone assumes parts kit built guns are junk ad factory built is the only way? Sure not all are perfect but anything is a crap shoot that's rebuilt, and IMHO IDE take this over a Draco, it's more practical for use, and u can actually aim with it.

I worked for one of the jobbers who built these (doing computer stuff). I know what I'm talking about. Perhaps you just don't feel like reading all the horror stories (or even your own picture [ with the shitty rivet placement ]) about these guns (or IO's general reputation). Put it on GunJoker and let the market decide. There are thousands of folks out there who are ignorant of IO's reputation who'll spend top dollar because "it looks cool!". |

I also *GASP* talked to the production guys on a daily basis. So I probably know a little bit more about this than you think. Quote:
This is a "WTK" thread (That's "want to know", if you forgot) and I'm sharing what I know. "Trolling the marketplace" is when someone responds to someone's sales or WTB thread with remarks like "You can buy these cheaper at Big 5." or "You're a pansy for wanting to buy one of these - buy one of those instead." Again, this isn't a WTS or WTB thread, and I'm not trolling ("Trolling" isn't "I don't like what the guy's saying". "Trolling" has a specific meaning). |

I told you to stay out of my thread in the marketplace and you refuse to do so. You are trolling the marketplace by repeatedly disobeying my demands to stay out of my thread. This is your last warning. Get out of my thread and stay out or I'm forwarding this thread to Jen.
