Default How to tell date of manufacture of a Romanian WASR?

Looking for info on a new to me used Romi WASR. All matching numbers except the top cover. Right side stamping:

ROMARM/CUGIR
ROMANIAN
CAI GEORGIA,VT

Left side stamping:

1-93xxx-11-RO
WASR-10
Cal. 7.62x39mm

The 93xxx number on the receiver matches the other parts. Curious to the year of manufacture. After looking up CAI, I see that they're not in VT. anymore if this helps. Plan on trying it out Sunday. Thanks in advance for any help.

CAI is NOT the builder. CAI mills out the mag well and adds the correct 922 parts to make it compliant. Ratmill assembles the WASR in Romania, it is Romanian built.

The newest batch of WASRs don't have Cugir trunnions as I think the supply of them has been exhausted. They use NEW Romanian barrels and I suspect new(er) manufactured parts.

Thanks, CUGIR is marked on the receiver. Don't see any markings on the trunnion. Thought the -11 in the serial number might make it a 2011. Shiny chrome bore, straight sights and no mag wobble. Guess I got lucky to find one with the Romi barrel. Plan on switching out the stock for a wire folder and installing a dong set-up that I refinished. Purchased it from the used gun rack at Cabela's. $438 with tax. Wanted something a little different from the already owned SGL21-71. Plan on trying it out Sunday afternoon.

All WASRs have Romanian barrels. Under the current interpretation of the barrel ban no MG barrels can be imported (even if they had never been installed in an MG). Since WASRs used barrels from a military reject/unused pile they simply had to begin new manufacture barrels as they were destined for a single stack "sporting rifle".

Your WASRs barrel is brand new and unused as opposed to my WASRs which is probably 30 years old and unused.

Thanks, thought I read somewhere that once they ran out of barrels they were going to start using US manufactured ones. That's the great thing about this forum, I've learned a few things. Looking forward to trying it out.

It is 2011. The Draco I got was mint and the AES-10 I am about to get has just a slight cant but I knew that since I wanted the rifle and could fix the cant later.

Draco has 11 stamped at end and is definitely 2011...AES is 1977.

mfg?

It's implied and that nasty little rumor has been quoted as fact more than enough.
