Jen's Official What's Missing, What's not Working, When will it be fixed thread.

Ok, for the sake of brevity and to keep from answering the same questions over and over again, I bring you this thread, with all the information you seek about things that have changed, are missing, not working right, etc.. since the software / server upgrade.

1. It's not over yet..

Once the DNS updates and the site is on the new web server we'll be doing another software upgrade to the most current version of the forum software. This likely won't happen until sometime late this week or early next week.

2. [INSERT WHAT'S BROKE HERE] isn't working right or how it used to.

If something isn't working right (you get an error message, blank page, etc...), please post what's not working along with a link / screenshot to THIS thread so that I can look into it. Please note that I will not be doing a lot of customizations to this version of the software as we will be upgrading again once the DNS changes have taken effect.

3. I either Like or Hate the way the site looks.

I know, everything looks different. The paint hasn't even dried yet, give it time. The new board software will allow you to CHOOSE how you want it to look. I have this turned off until after the software upgrade at which time we'll add multiple site templates so you can decide which you like best.

4. I want to send a contribution, but how do I do it?

You no longer need to provide me with multiple ways of identifying who you are if you send a contribution thru the board via USERCP -> Paid Subscriptions. Both PayPal and Authorize.net (credit card / echeck) options will automatically update you. Yes, it really is that easy now. If you aren't automatically updated, please post the date / transaction id there so that I can update you accordingly.

Anything else? Post it here and I'll answer it here.

Very Very slow....Since yesterday afternoon and even now clicking on links is very slow to return the page. Other forums and websites are fine on my high speed link so its not my end of it.

Again response times of any action within the page is very slow.

+1 on the slowness. Page loads take roughly 15 seconds. I'll keep checking back but for now the site is rendered non-functional due to slowness. I'm sure things will get sorted out soon.

Some other colors would be nice I guess. At the moment it looks like a thousand others - it is easy on the eyes though.

The speed issue is caused by our old web server having issues communicating with the new database server. This should resolve in the next 24-48 hours as the DNS transfers over.

I lost about 200+ posts, if that info helps.

Sometimes so many options only distill the issue. My two cents.

Got a bit of a scare when I tried to log in and got the screen saying I don't have permission to view the page which usually means my account has been banned/locked. Luckily I'm all good! I like the layout so far and it seems to load a lot faster. Kudos Jen!
