Has anybody received a back stamp filed post-41P?

As soon as I sell my VEPR-12, I am setting up a trust and SBR'ing my B&T P26.

I mailed two Form 1s as Trust on 7-12-16...received stamps for both yesterday.

One was approved 7-10, on my birthday and the other on 7-12-17...exactly one year from the day I mailed them.

Good luck to everyone who efiled/mailed around last year's deadline...I'm sure it's in the mail on the way to you.

Congrats. The other one should show up inside of 10 days. Submitted my 2 the same day, 7/11/16 and they were approved 9 days apart. Go figure.

I am not interested in waiting over a year. Hopefully the wait times improve after the mad dash before 41P are processed.

Its not like you're gonna wait 9 months from now and put in your paperwork and get it back any faster than people who put theirs in today. If you wait 9 months to put in your paperwork and it takes 4 months to come back, you still waited over a year.

My form4 for a suppressor filed after the cuttoff date came back in may. The guys they have working on the form 1 pile need to step it up.

I just talked to a gun shop owner who just got a Form 1 back in 90 days...

Not sure how as we still have people waiting just over a year.

Did you see his approved form 1 with date submitted and date approved? Not saying that I don't believe you but perhaps the guy just embellished a little if you know what I mean.

Mine went in the first of March. I'd be happy to see it by Christmas.

Fellas,
Anyone get a stamp back lately or call NFA branch to see which date they're up to now? Those turds had better not still be working on July 2016.

So I was able to speak with someone at ATF. I moved after filing (in-state), and contacted them via email. The responding agent told me to give my new address, and he would ensure that the stamp was sent to the new address. Didn't happen, so it wasn't forwarded and was returned to NFA. So I'm to email them with a request for a certified copy, and must include 5320.20 with the new address. The agent I spoke with on the phone said the certified copy of the approved tax stamp only take 10-14 day.

So a couple questions for those who have completed 5320.20 for a change of address:

What did you put in the date field?

Should I put the original manufacturer in the manufacturer field (Arsenal, Bulgaria), or my trust name since that is the SBR manufacturer?

Damn, late November submission? Did you file as an individual or as a trust?

Just got a call from BATF for the Form 1 that I submitted in April 2017... Somehow, I forgot to put my birth year in the form 1. They are now submitting it for background check... I'm crossing my fingers that that it will be approved soon!

Dude..any idea why it seems like they are processing these out of order? If the lady said they're still working fall 2016 form 1s, how did they already get to your April 2017 submission?

So after waiting time of 1 year and 8 days I got a letter from atf that my application is being return for following reason:

Cook County - Division 4 Blair Holt Assault Weapons Ban
Sec.54-92. - Applicability
(b) Pursuant to Article VII, Section 6(c) of the 1970 Constitution of the United States of Illinois, if this article conflicts with an ordinance of a home rule municipality, the municipal ordinance shall prevail within its jurisdiction.

#1-Please provide documentation to confirm that you are within a home rule municipality, to include it's regulation / ordinance justifying exemption from the Cook County Blair Holt Assault Weapon Ban.

So they want me to make appropriate corrections and return it with my application, so I have no idea what are they asking me to do and what kind of corrections I need to make, could someone please HELP me out or maybe someone had similar problem.
Thanks guys.

How many here have personal experiences with doing this through an internet lawyer firm for $100. Were you satisfied with the results? Any recommendations?

NFA Lawyers/Dean Phillips. Quick, easy, and several approved NFA items.

On another note: I was told my 'request for a Certified Copy of my approved stamp' (returned to NFA because I moved after approval) would be processed in 10-14 days. So 4 weeks later I call and am told 'I don't know why you were told 10-14 days. They take 30-40 days.' Good grief. My initial e-file was July 2016...

Update (9-30-17): Received my approved 5320.20. Now where's the certified copy of Form 1 approved in July?! Argh.

I called NFA helpline on Monday -- lady told me they are still working through "August/September" for Form 1s filed as trusts and they are "further along" for those filed as individuals. FWIW

I 2nd this. Dean will send you the trust within 24hrs and for me having the co trustee out of state along with some other areas of concern I felt it was better to CYA using his services.

July 12, 2016: Mailed paper Form 1 (Trust).

August 25, 2017: Contacted ATF. Told June 26, 2017 approval and form was returned to ATF due to address change (after agent told me it would be mailed to my new address).

August 28, 2017: Request for certified copy and 5320.20 (address change) submitted.

September 25, 2017: 5320.20 approved.

October 11, 2017: Received certified copy of approved Form 1.

I'm done for awhile.
