It's Apache Arms, kinda the norm for him. It'll probably sit for a while before some bored doctor or whoever buys it.

He bought it for less than half that amount. Well under $20K.

Asking for the Moon rarely works, unless one is an astronaut.

But he who wants to play knows he must pay - or wait, wait wait for one to come along.

As always, a transaction price (the only one that counts) is the intersection between the supply and demand curve.

For that price, I’d expect the seller to drive halfway across the country and personally deliver it.

It probably includes insurance. Would you really want to spend all that money and then have it shipped without insurance? The person buying this has fuck you money so an extra $600 would be nothing to them.

Just because they are a doctor with a few bucks doesnít mean they are stupid enough to buy for that price. Btw doctors with money is a yesteryear fantasy. Itís a different world in the medical field. The way to go now for money is hedge funding and computer software development.

Depends on your specialty. One of my classmates is pulling the big bucks, probably 10 times what my internist makes.

i remember exactly 4 years ago same seller was selling an "authentic" Real Romanian military Dragunov, AKA PSL with all the bells and whistles (manual, bayonet, 4 mags, pouch, scope) for 2,800$

keep in mind this was back when they were around 800-1000 bucks.

While your fan devotion is both long-lasting and flattering, I'll have to point out that your memory is not correct. I just looked up my records from 2014 and I didn't buy a single PSL for $1000 or less. I also didn't sell any for $2800, although a package like you describe might have been listed around there, depending on the particular rifle and accessories.

It's fun to reminisce, though.

I think people get annoyed because it isnít as if Apache unearthed this thing somewhere. He bought it for $17,000 BIN on Gunbroker six or so months ago and now is trying to flip it for more than double that on the same platform. I thought about purchasing this rifle myself when it was originally listed but Iím looking for one with the later production single piece gas block/sling mount assembly. I donít have any beef with Apache, in fact I sold him a military SVD when I needed some cash a few years back that he flipped for a $6k profit. I do think his business practices drive up the market somewhat however.

Very true, indeed

Depends on ďwith moneyĒ means.
I have several orthopedic, CV and pain MD friends that easily have 7 figure incomes.
One who is, yes a Fudd but shoots competition shotguns, just recently purchased a shotgun that was around $40,000.
I really like to give him shit about why anyone would need a shotgun........

My father in law was a family practice guy back in the 70s and 80s. He delivered babies in a small town and killed it. Before Revenue received was capped by some folks who have no clue what work hours and effort is required by procedural and non procedural work that physicians do. Now in medicine, you get more money based on cms incentives that are in some ways almost worthless and make medicine harder to be efficient as a physician. In the early 80s a proceduralist could make twice and work half .. big house and white picket fence, now make 1/2 and work twice as hard. The shift in medicine makes one focus more on a chart vs the patient. Yes in order to make big bucks you need to be a proceduralist in ortho or endo-vascular sub specialties and stay private. Then you can buy 40k dollar SVDs and PE57s with kern scopes. 😶

^^well if he sold it for 39,000$ shipping would be exactly 1.5% of the sale.
