Default Idenitfy Brand of handgun

Im trying to identify a brand of handgun. Ive seen this type of handgun in quite a few movies over the last couple years. Im sure somewhere can identify it by just its odd slide attribute. The slide is mostly cut away on top and down its side exposing the barrel. The front of the gun resembles the big chunk of metal look of the Desert Eagle.

Hollywood also likes to dress up run of the mill guns to make them look bigger. I've repeatedly seen them slap on ridiculous compensators or other muzzle attachments.

That 92 series (sure doesnt look like the FS model Im use to) sure looks like what i saw in the movies. Is there any others that have the barrel partially exposed like that? I was thinking the gun was a foreign manufacturer for some reason. Im trying to find a movie that I saw it in. My memory is gone. Im thinking it was in John Wick.

I just shared this thread with a friend who works for the MSM. He said without a doubt... It's an AK-47.

It was a Glock. Too small to be an AK47.

When I made the description of the muzzle end of the gun I didnt mean it had a chunk of metal hanging off of it. But instead just had the wide and weird shape muzzle end similar to the Desert Eagle. The 92FS looks like it as far as the expose barrel but for the life of me I cant remember the movies I saw the gun in question in and I havent got a good look of the muzzle end of the 92fs to see if it is a match. These sure dont look like the beretta 92fs that I remember from around early 1995 period.

Look up H&K PL30 John wick on Google images

You stated it may be John Wick. The PL30 he used in the movie had a custom compensator that had cuts on top thus giving you the exposed and kinda like a desert eagle look. Maybe your confusing what you saw as far as the 92fs exposed barrel type. Unless what you saw was indeed a 92fs with a crazy high dollar custom made compensator. Maybe the movie wasn't recent, maybe its from the 90s but feels recent. I mean if you can't remember anything else, its not totally out of the question right?

These comments I have made are based purely on speculation, infused with sarcasm, and not intended to offend anyone. Remember the Alamo!

Movie Prop guys routinely modify all sorts of firearms for movies, usually to make the "Hero Piece" distinctive or to simulate a gun that is unavailable. Without a specific movie to go on OP, it could be practically anything.

Hahaha You need to stop drinking and typing!

The gun I saw in the movies DID NOT have a compensator on it. But the HK PL30 (Non compensator) pistol has the big meaty hunk of metal face to the muzzle end of the gun just like i described earlier. But no exposed barrel in the pics I saw of that model.
The gun I saw in the movies was not a compact. It was a full size. About the size of a Beretta 92FS possibly an inch shorter. Ill continue with my search of movies to see what I saw the pistol in.
