Default 1945 TT-33 for $250!

So I scored this war time IZZY made TT-33 for 250, it appears to be not arsenal reworked and all matching. Safety added, billboard import marks! Super happy with this pistol. Curious to how much it is worth tho. Got this from horizon shooters in Flagstaff AZ. Great place to shop, guy has deals you won't believe!

Gun is marked as an M57, so they must have thought it was a Yugo, it is certainly priced that way.

I am NOT trying to rain on the OP’s good fortune but let’s not get carried away.

With the import required safety (and to a lesser extent, the import markings) the pistol in question is not (and never will be) a “collector” grade example and does not rationally warrant the value premium that such original, unmodified pieces command.

It’s a shooter, and a beautiful example at that, but a shooter none-the-less.

In my opinion the value is in the $300-$400 range to anyone who knows the difference between original and non-original.

The OP got a great deal.

My old Norinco didn't have a thumb safety.

One of only 2 guns I wish I had never sold. The other being an old Tommy.

On gunbroker Russian examples (even with safety) wet up to $600 in rougher shape than this one. That's where I got my number from (some even in the thousands)

No TT-33 variant is supposed to have a manual safety.

Uncle Sugar has to "pertect da peepul" and one of their stupid import requirements from recent decades is "handguns must have manual safeties".

This is why you have Webleys with effin' manual safeties on them.

You read that right. Webley revolvers being fitted with manual safeties ( "fer ar pertection" )

So it's worth the same as the average Polish? I'm not sure if that's right. I'm thinking $600-700 even tho this has the war time serrations and is stupid clean.

I would try to get them down a bit, cause I am cheap. But would do the $230 if I had the money and wanted the gun. That's pretty cheap for any decent pistol. Use it and it would always be good trade fodder.

Good price. I like mine. The safety was easily removed, & covered the hole with a pair of TOKEGYPT grips.
