steveTA1983,

I have the same problem with my SAR K2 45, I bought it because it was 14+1 of 45acp and an unreal price, so I took a chance.

When I received it I found out it really is as good as all of the reviews I read and I just cannot understand why it did not sell "like hot cakes.

Because people are afraid of the unknown. To people who only know "name brands" they'll pass it at first glance not knowing it's better than a bunch of "name brands" (which it is).

Just looked around. Price is now in the low 400's-low 600's

You got a good deal at $370. After buying extra mags I have close to $500 in it now.

I have the SAR K2 and the Zenith M45 1911 and they have been trouble free. Purchased both of them from CDNN for $369 a piece. Turkish guns are a good value!

You just answered your own question.

#1. It's an unknown, due to very little marketing budget, and a gamble with no US presence except the importer.
#2. America has just sustained 2 decades of anti-Islam fear rhetoric

I am leaning more to #1, and the importer was EAA... from all accounts they have a terrible reputation for customer service from most accounts I have read on different Internet forums.

It's just to bad, as the quality of the SAR K2 45 is top notch.

The K2 is similar to a WASR. It's simple, robust, and will still be around after a nuclear holocaust. Whenever I get into a tough spot concerning AK's or other firearms, I think "What would Rob Ski do?"

I can just hear Rob say use the K2 like a horny whore on payday.

I carried it on a daily basis for several weeks in the aftermath of Irma when most of my six acres was under two feet of water. I got a tad bit of rust on the safety, but no other issues. I routinely carry it when working on my property or riding around.

The K2 is wasted as a safe queen. Mine still looks almost LNIB and I went through a SHTF event with it and carry it routinely. The finish holds up to holster wear and occasional shooting. I have had it for a year, and it is still one of the best valued gun I ever bought.

Caniks, C-100 and TP9-V2 , The 100 series are scarce now but there's plenty of 120s to be found.. Also a shotgun by KRAL which runs high brass like a raped ape.. Plenty of you tubes on it..

There is a new importer for some SAR Arms pistols, just not the K2 45.

https://www.trimports.com/product-category/handguns/

But maybe if there is enough interest that could change.

Yup that's the shot gun, It cycles high brass like a champ.. I love the value Of the Caniks, just made an offer of $275 for a T-100 any luck and that'll make 3 Turky's.. I see there's still C-100s that can be had off gun broker but no T's in the 100s plenty in the 120s though..

Where are the SAR K2s going for the $400s? I've been checking Gun broker and after you add in shipping and CC fees they are high fives closer to $600? I really want one

My Turkish handguns are a little bigger, a MKE Z43 P and a MKE Z5RS.

They've been gone for a while off CDNN. At one point, for a very short time, they dropped down to $349, for like a weekend, then went back to $369, then disappeared shortly therefter, and haven't returned that I've seen.

They've been gone for a while.

If they come back at that price I'm gonna snap one up...not gonna pay 600 for one when I can get a used USP45 or FNX45 or a CZ 97 for that kind of money.

I hate what Turkey has become under Erdogan, but I really like their guns. I have several.

My Canik Stingray is an excellent pistol, one of the best I've shot. Only got better when I got the CGW upgraded springs and free float trigger pin. Over 1k rounds with many different kinds of ammo and never had an issue.

T120 is good, main downside with mine is a creepy trigger but it almost acts as a 2 stage, once I got used to it it is very accurate. I don't know if I will bother figuring out a way to improve the trigger.

The Tisas 1911 has had problems with really weak case ejections, I've been told replacing the main spring should fix that but I haven't gotten around to it. But it was $300 when I got it so for the money it is rather good.

I also have a SAR K2 from when CDNN had them for $350, awesome gun but I have had some issues where the slide doesn't fully close and requires a smack to finish loading the next round. It has less than 300 rounds through it, I'm hoping it works itself out when I get more rounds through it.

I have a few Turkish guns.
Atl 92c centurian clone. These are friggen nice. Still wish they were available. Chiappa brings one in similar but it has finger grips on the front now.
Sar b6p. Love it. Cheap price ...makes me look like I am a halfway decent shot.
Canik tp9sf. Meh.. it works but I had issues with it. Took a pistolsmith working on it to run right.

And a tristar atac 12 gauge semi auto. I never experienced the issues as others have. I pulled it apart before shooting it and fluffed and buffed it. First 100 or so rounds were high brass turkey loads so it broke in real well.

"not gonna pay 600 for one when I can get a used USP45 or FNX45 or a CZ 97 for that kind of money"

I like the CZ97, but it only holds 10 rounds, so I did not see the reason to spend the money since 10 mags are available for my 1911's.

I am not a fan of the HP pistols, they look #$%^ ugly to me, just my opinion.

I like the FNX45, but it is dam expensive and I believe a plastic frame, so that is a no go for me.

When I bought my K2 45, EAA still showed them on their website with a retail price in the $800 plus range. Based upon the design and quality, I am not surprised to see the prices going up. I wish they were still being imported.
