Default AES RPK Bug

So now that I am addicted to AK Crack I figured I might as well get a RPK as well...On this AES on GB, does the import engraving look funky to y'all?

https://imgur.com/a/DQT92o3

Now I am not an engraving expert..but geez is this legit?

Looks correct but that’s the shitty AES-10. Not the AES-10b. That one has the rear mounted bipods thin barrel non-bulged trunnion. Basically a long barreled regular AK. That model doesn’t get any good reviews

The B has the carry handle, easiest way to tell. Only buy the B.

The engraving does look right/correct/acceptable, but why some of these or MAKs look like a child or someone with their non dominate hand went to write it with an electro pencil or however it gets engraved. I'm one of the few people who might get annoyed with that rubbish typeface on my reciever!

The easiest way to tell the two apart is the barrel. The 10 has a thin, light weight barrel, with the bipod mounted at the gas blockl. The 10B has the correct HEAVY, RPK barrel with the bipod at the end of the barrel.

You could tell them apart from across the room.

As far as the engraving. YEP, that would be correct on early Romanian imports, no matter what model.

I'd stay clear of this model unless you want to use it as a base for a Tabuk clone...even then it's not an ideal starting place.

The only good thing about that electro pencil engraving is that it’s typically shallow. When I refinished mine the paint almost filled it in, I really have to look to see the engraving now.

I love the RPK in general, and probably unhealthly so for teh AES10B specifically...so we did this video last year:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xT5zoXj3Lvc

A friend has the original AES10...i know because I sold it to him. Specifically, i fell for Century's marketing back when those came out in 2005 and ordered one before i knew enough about them.
It was a good shooter, but oh so not an RPK.

Thankfully this friend for whatever reason really liked the AES10. I think just for how odd it was, so he happily bought it off me and i gave him a good deal.

I have now had 3 AES10Bs in my life. First had the PKM bipod and was built from modern 21st century parts. The other two are in that there video.

Last time they were imported (2 years ago now?) I got one when they were like $499 from JG or Classic, and damn near passed on it because I knew nothing about it. Said what the hell and got one anyway, definitely glad I did since it looks like they aren't coming back and the ones on the secondary market are $1k +

Any idea how much the Romanian M64 RPK kits are going for (without original barrel)?
